I am so late giving my review. I want to say hello to Charlize, Curtis, Josh, Lamont and Sherwin. That was a very wonderful welcome to someone new to North Carolina. Me! My breakfast was so good. I have never eaten at a breakfast place that I did not have to add anything to my grits! I can’t wait to go back! Oh, I got the job as security at Two Kings Josh. I was pretty excited to try The Skillet as i have heard they were a good breakfast joint. The atmosphere was nice and thebdining area was reletively clean. The food tasted fine. My daughter wasn't really wowed by the burger alot. I tried the railroad skillet. It tasted pretty good.
The problem was the portion sizes for the money were kinda aweful. The skillet was incredibly small. I had 8, yes 8 tater tots with the cheese, small amount of egg (definitely less than 2 eggs unless they are purchasing small or medium eggs) and the bacon. My daughter's burger used 2 skuder sized patties. Not a lot to eat.
Im not planning on coming back. Maybe its more for those who like morning mimosas
Josh and staff are awesome . Food is always good and staff is always happy to accommodate and help. Very friendly ! Will come back

First of all, this place has a lot of potential. It can do much better.
What I liked about the place was the style/theme. It's got uniqueness.
What I was disappointed with was the subpar food quality for the price. Portions could be a bit more generous as well.
Also, I ordered a Landshark beer, but the server did not bring me the bottle, it was brought to me in a glass already. I'm very certain that what they poured me was not a Landshark at all (I'm very familiar with how it tastes, and its color) instead I was served some mystery beer that tasted more like a Michelob Ultra. Very watered down and light in color. I don't like being deceived and/or my intelligence insulted.
In conclusion, I believe this place could be much better. But, I will not be returning or recommending it any time soon.

So happy we found this breakfast gem in Downtown Kings Mountain. Our server Ella was courteous, kind and educated. Food was simple, fresh and out in a timely manner. We will keep this on our list of preferred breakfast restaurants. Especially enjoy that its small business and woman owned.
