I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone! I needed a cake and some cupcakes made for my daughter’s baby shower. When I initially spoke to the lady to see if they were able to make the kind of cake I wanted and get some prices, she was very short and not professional at all. After that initial conversation I ended up going into the shop the following day because she never asked what kind of flavors I wanted or any of my preferences on the details. After making those decisions there with them I left and had no more contact until the day of pick up. Not only did they not make the actual cake the way I asked but the cupcakes were completely wrong.. The cake was different shades of browns and beige so why in the world they would just decide themselves to completely change the entire design of the cupcakes without speaking to me first but they slapped some bright white icing on the cupcakes and stuck a paper cutout attached to toothpicks in the cupcakes and just called it a day. I refused to buy the cupcakes obviously but to make matters worse the cake was barely even edible. This cake was sooo dry and tasted like the cake itself had been made several days earlier and just left out on a counter. We had discussed using a hardened buttercream rather then all the fondant and yet they still wrapped the cake in fondant. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY!!

Attended a birthday party for my 89 year old grandpa who requested a specific cake from this baker. We communicated exactly what was needed for this cake and the owner Darlene Brown promised she was the perfect woman for the job. She advised that she would make it homemade, icing from scratch and how we all grew up eating holiday cakes down south. It's safe to say, the cake was horrible. There was no pineapples. No coconut and 1000% was not homemade. How do you make a coconut pineapple cake without any coconut and pineapple? We asked for regular icing (egg whites beat with sugar and vanilla) and received marshmallow icing. Like huh??? They also upcharged for toppings when that was included in my original price. I paid an extra $10 because I didn't want to go back and forth. The Spanish lady at front is confused and unorganized. To wrap this up, the cake tasted spoiled. Boxed. Rushed. And overall a hot mess. I do not recommend this place ever. Hate to put down a black business but they must do better. All the guests hated it. Threw half of the cake in the garbage and the birthday boy didn't even want it. SMH! We should of just made some banana pudding for ourselves

I had contacted this bakery and spoke with the owner and stated I wanted a 3 layer coconut pineapple home made cake (from scratch). I stated exactly what I wanted and I feel I did not get that. The cake was pretty and a perfect size, but everyone that' ate a slice said this is not home made. Also, We couldn't find any coconut between the layers and only a small amount of pineapple. Also when I picked it up I didn't see any coconut on outside and when I mentioned to worker she went and told ms brown the owner and then she put coconut on top. Anyway I didn't get what I was expecting and that's all my 89 year old dad really wanted. Also I was quoted $40 something when I ordered but when I picked it up I paid $53 and some change. Very dissatisfied

This place used to be great! The last cake I ordered was gorgeous to look at but the taste and texture were not what we usually get. It was over mixed and over baked. It was very disappointing. I do not believe this was Mrs. Brown's recipe. We threw most of it out because it certainly didn't get any better the next couple of days. I am posting the picture so that the staff can see the cake I am referring to so to refresh your memory as to who the baker was for this awful thing. Beautiful to look at. But not fit for consumption. It was extremely heavy. Could have spent less than $50 and get a better cake at Wal-Mart. Cake was less than $50. The order was around that price because we also got six dry cupcakes. Do better for the next person cuz I won't be back.

Owners and staff are very kind and if given a good notice of time, they will recreate you what you want. Always purchased my kids and my own Bday cakes from Mrs. Brown. Cake is very moist and delicious.
