Ok just traveling thru and Mexican food is our go to since we don't do fast food junk. Of course me being picky had to ask about what I was ordering ala cart. 1 tamale sauce on the side, are they made in house, can I have pork. Yes, yes, no only shredded chicken or ground beef. Ok chicken, Yuck hambugar as far as I'm concerned. Now for the chili relleno are they pablano or anniheim chili's. After the 3rd person came i asked her about what i wanted she answered pablano great. Very nice to answer all of this GRINGOS questions.My plate came out and nope. Well story gets shorter. Relleno not what I wanted. I asked where in Mexico are the cooks from?? Is anything wrong? Yes Relleno nit right. Ok short story. Owners admit they are TexMex as the area likes the cheese and not the original Relleno. We all laughed over the ordeal asked if they had flan yes then I'll take an order to go, our poor waitress head hung down saying I hate to tell you this but we have no flan. We all laughed again. Paid our bill and left. Nothing spicey or good flavor for us. But we had a good meal.

So incredibly disappointed in my 80 year old Aunt’s experience today. She couldn’t chew the steak in her lunch Texas ACP (chicken, steak and shrimp). The portion size of the meats was really impressive. However, upon learning the steak couldn’t be chewed they remade her meal. But when she got the food back she had 3 shrimp and the same amount of chicken as before (no steak). When I asked why only 3 shrimp (especially since the first plate was loaded AND she didn’t get steak) the manager said 3 shrimp was the normal portion. I persisted and said the first plate was very generous in portion size and he said it shouldn’t have been and that it costs too much to replace food. I didn’t ask for her food to be recooked. I asked if we could be charged for shrimp and chicken only. Nope. Had to pay for the Texas ACP with chicken, 3 shrimp and no beef. I’m so dissatisfied and disappointed. If you offer to recook food, do better next time. I didn’t ask for that ‘solution’.

Got dinner at El Nuevo Tequila in passing passed on Google reviews, and it did not disappoint. Ordered the Enchiladas Del Mar and Steak Hawaiian, both were delicious. Service was also supreme. Went during Sunday dinner time, and servers consistently checked in on us/offered refill of chips. Will go back.
