The food wasn't bad, but the service was a bit strange. The girl seemed to be on something and moving in slow motion. I literally thought she was about to fall out at the register. The young lady working the window was great, and you could tell she has her head in the right place. Eat here at your own discretion.

Dirty place. New to Kinston and compared to the other Kings, this was just yuck. Food tasted good but just don’t know how sanitary it is. Staff was super friendly.

It’s not fancy, but it’s good! It’s been years since I’ve had the ? “pig in a pup” aka a barbecue sandwich served in a giant hush puppy and thankfully I was able to crush my craving today.

Memorial day 3:00 me and some of my family decided to go to kings on vernon... worst mistake for a late lunch , soggy skin, dried meat, 2-3 hour old chicken when i asked for fresh dropped chicken .... hushpuppies chunky and dry, ( batter wasn't settled) coleslaw was warm, and the flies were unbearable, spent $120 on 5 people, none of us finished our food 3 of us threw our plates away and went elsewhere to eat... sweet tea was almost 4.00 per and was very surupy and thick... all I drink is sweet tea and It would have made me sick I added water to the tea to make it edible, I hate to write a bad review but 3 times in a row I've wasted my money here on terrible chicken and bbq plate never again... I worked at kings on vernon for 2 years in high school and this is just unacceptable do better, shut down or get new managers and employees it's just pure laziness your ruining the name of the company, serving food like this to people, SMH

The flies were horrible while I waited for my food to be ready. The cashier were doing her job but didn't offer anything to drink to make me comfortable while I waited about 20 to 25 minutes for my food. The building were clean but the "flies". Do something about all the flies.
