The BBQ was tender, but seasoned with too much vinegar for my taste. The cole slaw was fresh, comparable in taste with other eastern NC BBQ restaurants. Yea was VERY sweet, well made, and improved when I added unsweet to it. BBQ chicken was so-so in flavor, made with a bottled sauce. Bathroom: B -- Heavy wear, some disrepair, smelled clean.

The food was phenomenal and the pumpkin pie was off the charts!! Super reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
The food is okay. They make their BBQ fairly spicy now. I still prefer it the old way. I think we will stick to the Starlight Inn in Ayden. Now they still know how to cook some great BBQ and BBQ chicken.

Ordered here Friday (March 1st) on door dash and the fish was so soft that it tore apart. They normally most of the time do an ok job sometimes but I had to call door dash to get my money back. Smh. I tried to call the restaurant but no one picked up their phone. They also forgot my coleslaw and the fries & fish were undercooked. I don't think it was all the way done. Did I mention on door dash they will charge you around 15.75 for a plate? Plus tax it will be around $18.00 plus tip.

Only thing I would say they could do better, is, actually CLOSE fully the lid on my Coleslaw, so that all that juicy goodness doesn't leak out into the plastic bag. Thanks in advance ?

This has been my worst experience ever in a restaurant.The tables were horrible nasty and the staff would throw a clean table clothe over the dirty nasty table. The plates were either wet or dirty..the fried chicken taste bad,collards taste as if they were poured straight out the can,just a horrible experience for me..This was my first and last visit to this nasty place..wasted hard earned money
