Lately this location has had problems. I've had everything from tasteless frappuccinos to frappuccinos that were made with chai by mistake. Today you couldn't see any dark caramel syrup in my drink. I took it back inside and told the employee the pictures and advertisement definitely show a dark caramel syrup. To my surprise her reply was you have to order it that way the store needs a lot of help it seems there's only one or two people there that know how to make the caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino it's never a consistent good taste with any of their drinks. I told the employees today that their district manager needs to come in and talk to them all and straighten them out hopefully this happens. I myself was in the restaurant business for over 20 years you never tell a customer that they're wrong. Again my frappuccino .today no dark caramel syrup tasted no coffee and it whatsoever probably one of the worst frappuccinos the frappuccino that I got yesterday it's not much different looks from one that you would get from McDonald's isn't that a shame. It had regular caramel syrup drizzle all inside my cup it was horrible.
I want to add to my review it's been a few weeks ago since I texted all that I just want to let you know that they got better there for a while but back to the same thing nothing is consistent at the store whatsoever. They must have a high turnover in employees or something because like I said nothing is consistent at all I went there today used up the last of my points and also spent money as well for what two drinks to taste of nothing like cold whipped cream no taste of coffee whatsoever. I'm disabled so it's kind of hard for me to get out of my car and go inside every time there's a problem with my drink. Why is it that you can go to another Starbucks and it's good every time the consistent but not this one in Kinston they need some help badly. I'm just disappointed and tired of wasting my money here cuz the days when it was good me and my wife would go as many as four times in one day. But not anymore enough is enough because they don't care about their customers.

BRIT & KIKI MAKE THIS PLACE STELLAR! I am in the military and moved here about a year ago and these two women make my coffee perfectly every time. They know the sweetness I like and remember the changes I make to my coffee even when I forget to tell them and mind you I order like 10 different coffees so I am very impressed and feel welcomed. Thank you guys! Starbucks; promote these two to managers ASAP. They deserve it!

Staff is friendly and gave me some good drink recommendations once when I wanted to try something new (they were delicious). On a different occasion I accidentally dropped my drink from the table once and they did not seem mad or annoyed and made me a new one super fast however they did not let me pay for it so I just left a bigger tip than what I left originally in the tip jar definitely will be coming back!

I enjoy this Starbucks overall. Everyone normally greets you as soon as you walk in, They are very attentive to your order and overall very professional. The atmosphere is always good when I am there. I would surely recommend going here 🤗

Do not recommend! Used to be our go to place, service was always so fast and the friendliest (one of the reasons this was our favorite Starbucks to stop by on our travels from 2021-2024), last few times have been just like any other Starbucks, where you are almost an inconvenient to the baristas by having them work/make drinks. They used to have a nice area for families with kids to read, color or just relax and enjoy and they’ve taken that away. They also had an area for community, with coffee grounds available for neighbors to use on their gardens and that’s gone too. Almost like the sense of community and coffee house feeling Starbucks used to have when it first started is gone, now just generic coffee place with unhappy/not smiling people. We purposely drive 30 minutes (an hour round trip) out of our way to stop here as we like to support the places we like most no matter the distance, sadly this Starbucks is off our list now, just another Starbucks now like any other throughout the country.
