I saw reviews online for a crab cake sandwich, went to try it, but they no longer had it. I decided to try a grouper sandwich with slaw and sweet potato fries. Grouper was tasty, paid extra for getting the slaw and was had barely enough to cover a third of the sandwich. I feel if you are gonna charge extra for a condiment at least give me enough for it to be a condiment. Sweet potato fries were good.
Kind of bummed out as looking online seems this place is awesome, maybe we hit a bad day or something. Had the grouper sandwich with fries, fish was perfect, fries mushy. Onion rings had great texture but way too much salt in the batter. Wife ordered a grilled cheese with slice of tomato inside, they said 2 types of cheese and tater tots. The tots were WAY overcooked, maybe precooked and then dropped in the fryer again? They were hard, I mean pork rind hard. The sandwich didn't...
One of the best local restaurants in the Kinston area! I've been here two or three times, and have never left unsatisfied with my meal. The service is usually quick and friendly, and the food is a great mix-up from the traditionally Southern style food at local restaurants in the area. Highly recommend!
