Very disappointing, Smallest suimai I have ever seen for $7, it taste like imitation crab meat. the service was very rude and I felt like I was being rushed out. Extremely over Priced for tiny ass portions. Overall NOT WORTH IT!!!

I have been to this restaurant ever since I was in middleschool. So roughly, I have been coming here about 10 years. Here is my honest review since I havent been here in a while. Now used to, I would have given this restaurant five stars because I always enjoyed the food and price was fair. The beef tataki (sort of tough but still good) and the nigiri sushi was good, I would order it again for the price. Could it be better? yes, but for the price I think its worth it. The spicy tuna roll isnt bad for the price but it used to be 10x better compared to now. However, the hibachi was not good at all, I got the chicken and steak hibachi. Years ago it was AMAZING. This time the best thing on the plate was the vegetables. Steak flavor wasnt bad just very fatty, chicken wasnt as cooked compared to how I do it but it wasnt raw at least, the fried rice was terrible. The fried rice was sweet and mushy and not really savory like you would expect fried rice to be. The hibachi overall wasnt really seasoned and I had to drown it in soy sauce and white sauce to make it edible. (Veggies were good without soysauce and whitesauce) So in other words, I do not recommend hibachi unless they fix the rice and cook the chicken longer. My opinion, for a sushi fix or quick lunch its worth the price. For a big order and how much it was, there are better food options in Kinston for dinner. I hate to say that about this place because I used to be a weekly customer but hopefully they get better. As far as the management they have always treated me nice. I dont think they should lose business by any means, but they really need to fix their hibachi.

Great price for the same sushi I pay double the price at other places!

Food is good the owners are very rude to me and my wife every time we go in to eat sushi. We are always very nice to them and always leave a tip until about our third trip, that was the visit that there were no more tips for them. The lady came out and saw it was us and was very impolite to my wife and myself. We went ahead and ordered when we should have gotten up to walk out. That trip didn’t pay a tip based off of how rude they are and went back just to make sure it wasn’t I’m having a bad day thing and sure enough attitude came back and my wife had one back with her. Never go there to eat again

Please do not go there…the waitress that waited on us was very not so customer service attentive
Other customers came in and she attended to them with very nicely customer service as for me and my husband as Hispanics she rarely attend to us.. it was so obvious …at checkout I approached her and confronted her and she literally admitted to the fact I f of us being Mexican as far as her not attending to us …. Wow totally racism in that nasty restaurant… plus her sushi rolls were hot and not cool .. food is not all that great … I will continue to put bad reviews and get my refund back on this nasty service and food

Went to eat there and no one was in restaurant to eat except for me, my granddaughter, and a friend. Food was not edible. Appetizer, Dinner, nor anything we ordered were edible or tasty. Left all foods on table, paid the bill ($55) walked out and left. Waiter not staff ever acknowledged us not being satisfied with the foods! Never again will we return there and am advising others not to eat there either!

I wanted to try a different sushi restaurant in the area so that I could find out what different types/tastes of sushi I might like. I really enjoy Jay's 108 there in Kinston. This is a restaurant I can go without. The ingredients were not fresh just based off of texture alone.. Taste.. That's a whole different story. I didn't feel welcomed honestly from lack of greeting and conversation. The only thing I did enjoy was the design/art on the walls. I love feeling immersed in different cultures. I'm afraid to finish the food due to it not being fresh.. The woman I who assisted me insisted in a annoyed fashion that she had put chopsticks in the bag when I came back inside for them but there wasn't any anywhere in the bag nor were there napkins. I've always wondered why this place looks so faded out and abandoned.. I see why now. I had the dynamite and eel avocado roll.

First ever experience with my 7 yr old granddaughter, we ordered sushi and was not disappointed. Im very particular about where i eat sushi and by far hands down some of the best ive ever had!! And they were very surprised that my granddaughter wanted sushi at all! Very polite and made fresh too!! Will be going back again!

I found several bones in my order of smoked salmon sashimi. A couple longer ones were actually visibly sticking out of the sashimi. I called to let them know this because fish bones are a choking hazard that can really mess up your esophagus, stomach, organs, hell they're SHARP. It's dangerous. The woman I spoke to on the phone just immediately said, "Oh that was the company. The company did that." So evidently they don't do the most basic quality checks on your food. Good to know. I used to eat here a lot, but no longer. I'll play extra for Jay's 108.
