Appalachia at the Lodge on Lake Lure has become our favorite restaurant in Lake Lure! The menu, the service and the ambiance are all quite special. The Chef prepares some amazing dishes...everything, to my knowledge, is made from scratch with creativity and care. We look forward to our next time dining out!

It was our anniversary celebration. Hubby had his Gin and tonic to start, the Chef sent us a complimentary appetizer of tortellini. I started off with a lemoncello Martini. Main course for hubby was the Prime Rib and I opted for the Scallops and grits. Both meals were superb. The sauces on both were excellent. The asparagus was cooked to perfection. The evening was a success in providing excellent service and top shelf meals in a charming atmosphere overlooking our still beautiful lake Lure!

I make reservations for Appalachia every time I go to Lake Lure and each visit is even better than the last! The food is phenomenal with a distinctly Appalachian flair. The atmosphere is upscale but unpretentious, and the view is stunning.

This was our 4th visit- all for special occasions and so we've tried various entrees, appetizers, and drinks. Everything has been outstanding. Steak, seafood, pork chop etc. so flavorful. Wait staff each time helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Wow wow wow. What a gem! This place is absolutely amazing. The property and the views of the lake are beautiful. But the food and a cocktails are FANTASTIC!! We’ve eaten here a few times now and everything has been over the top delicious. The food rivals some of the best restaurants in larger cities. Highly recommend. Take a drive for lunch or dinner one day, better yet spend the weekend at the lodge that Appalachia is attached to. You won’t be disappointed.
