Just spent 3 nights there. Great place. It’s an older hotel but the beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The Tiki Bar was fantastic and the best food we had on Chimney or Lake Lure. The Cheesesteak is the BOMB and I’m from Philly area. Wish they had breakfast but the place next door had Main Street Deli and their breakfast was better than any restaurant in town.
Brought my group that was staying at the hotel, there was about 10 of us, to have a few drinks at the tiki bar at around 8pm, we were quickly stopped at the door and told they were closed. from the conversation we had with management the week before, we understood the bar closed at 10pm. Not sure what that was about. But that was the whole purpose of us staying there.
We are here now for the new-year weekend and it's great,, room service lady pat had our room spotless,, the staff have been great,, the grounds guy went above his duties helping the guest this morning,, very nice guy with a great voice,, the owner is cool as hell,, the rooms have been remolded,, we are lower level and the noise is minimal and we have a beautiful view of the river,, we will be back, there is nothing negative here..
