What a hidden gem! This was some of the best food I have had in a while and I am so happy to have stumbled upon it while in the area.
The quality, and creativity of the menu was such a treat and the freshness and seasonality really proves the expertise going on in the kitchen. Paired with a stunning patio that is homey, understated yet so naturally beautiful, they are able to give such a great experience all around.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for excellent food with a grounded experience that is not stuffy or overly priced.
Lastly, to the owners, we greatly appreciate the experience we had! We love what you have going on and hope you keep it up! We’ll be back again soon!

What a gem! The food, drink, and grounds at Grey Hawk are incredible. We enjoyed both dinner and brunch during our visit to Lake Lure and I can highly recommend both. Plus there’s lots to keep kids happy and occupied when parents enjoy their meals. Can’t wait to go back!

We visited Grey Hawk a couple of times while on a trip to Lake Lure and had such an amazing experience each time! Delicious food, incredible drinks and the best vibes/atmosphere. The food menus for dinner and brunch are extensive with something for everyone including lots of gluten free options, which I so appreciate! You could (and we did!) hang out there for hours. Playing lawn games, sitting by the fire, listening to live music. It was the perfect third space option for spending time outside of our Airbnb throughout the weekend. I’m just bummed we won’t be in town for any of the amazing festivals/special events they have planned for the summer. Seriously the perfect bar/restaurant for vacationers and locals alike.

Every detail is thoughtfully considered here. As soon as you walk in, through the gardens, you’re transported. Any amount of time you can spend here is good for the soul. Stopped in for a Sunday brunch after a hike in the mountain area through some boulders. The place has a very enjoyable vibe with plenty of different outdoor seating. The area seemed like sitting in a garden with covered and non-covered seating, a fire pit burning and live music.
The outdoor area also has games to keep kids and others occupied and a very laid back environment.
The drinks were creative and plentiful as well as having great beer and wine options.
The food was very tasty and creatively presented. As another restaurant being creative to weather the impacts of the storm, they have done a great job in creating an enjoyable and embracing place to spend an afternoon with good food and drinks.
Will be back for dinner sometime.

The atmosphere is awesome!! This place caught our eye driving by. We decided to try it out for dinner and we were not disappointed! The vibes are great! The food is delicious! There was live music and I honestly could have stayed all night.

We visited while at Lake Lure for a golf tournament last month. The food and drinks (I heard) were absolutely amazing! We had beautiful weather and enjoyed sitting outside under the covered patio. The kids (4 & 6) made quick friends, and we were appreciative that there was a safe space for them to get some energy out. Our server was adequate, I guess, but not very friendly. I had to ask for a water refill and would have ordered a cocktail (got carsick coming down the mountain) eventually, but we felt rushed to close our tab. All said, I'd go back again.

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon and enjoyed some great live music on the outdoor lounges. We had some well-balanced cocktails and local beers on draft. Kenly, our server was super kind and attentive. Food recommendations were all A+ too. We checked out the recently renovated indoor bar area on the way out. Super impressive! Gorgeous space inside and out, a must-see when in Lake Lure.
