Our extended family was visiting Lake Lure for the week. When Plan A for a 60th wedding anniversary dinner fell through at the last minute, Luna del Sol stepped in and saved the day and wonderfully hosted the 12 of us with great food and wine and many laughs and cheers. The owners were warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make this a special night.

Great place for great food! Saturday live music was great too! Make sure you get the dessert

Food was decent but the service was nearly nonexistent. Ordered pizza and waited over an hour. Kept being told it was almost done. The owner accused my friend of being drunk when she started to get impatient when we had been sitting there with our water that had never been refilled. The owner was an older woman who was very rude and unprofessional with many guest and she openedly moaned and rolled her eyes when new guests would walk in. She said she would take off some of the bill since we waited so long. She took off a whole $1 and some change. I was floored. Not a great experience. I've honestly never had an owner be so rude either. I hope they fix their \"dough problem\".

Wow. What a find and local gem. Come here for the great service, the fabulous pizzas and the character of a place located behind and under a general store. It’s a trip and worth at least one dinner, wish we had discovered it earlier in our trip. The pesto pizza is really special and highly recommend. The wine selections are reasonably priced and have a solid selection.

I could walk to this restaurant. Once a year I’ll try and go back again to see if the service or food has gotten any better yet again very disappointed my pizza boxed was so light I didn’t even know if they was any pizza in the box and somehow pepperoni equals green peppers . A couple of the slices had no cheese ….. I will never go back here again.

Love love coming here when we come to the cabin. Best around the Lake. Tina is awesome the food is amazing. Update: came in for dinner tonight. I had lamb chops special, my sister had the grouper special and my honey had the shrimp and sausage. To say the food is not 5 star. I come to dinner here every time we come to our cabin. I love the atmosphere and the live music was a lovely ( not loud ) addition. If you visit lake Lure come here. Your on mountain time. Slow down and enjoy the experience. Remember every one is short staffed. Tina and Bruce are awesome.

The food is always great and filling. Mr. Bruce and Miss Tina are extraordinary characters ?. But on a serious note they are great people who know their stuff. My family and I will miss this place and the people who work here.

This is absolutely the best restaurant in Lake Lure! This restaurant is one of the reasons we return to Lake Lure each year. The homemade Puerto Rican Clam chowder will not be found anywhere else and AMAZING! Johnnys killer pasta with homemade meatballs is also a MUST try. The atmosphere and extremely special owners, Tina and Bruce, make this a truly one of a kind eatery. They always make us feel so welcome and at home. We LOVE them

It’s a real gem to find if you can, it looks a little suspicious but it’s a real treat. The pasta is amazing, the homemade meatballs are amazing, the desserts are so delicious. Especially the berry cobbler. The atmosphere is amazing and the decorations are just a delight to read. The staff are so accepting the only problem is some of them smoke so it’s not the best smell but they’re so sweet and the boss lady is just a doll. All in all it’s a good place, I highly recommend.

Wanted to try it out for a while now. So we went early. Couple of tables were in use inside and out. We told them table for 2. She wanted to sit us at high table, but I'm short and high seats are uncomfortable on my legs. We asked for side table and was told "no" because we didn't have reservations. So we asked to sit at small table outside and was told "no" as it was for 4. Hostess then got rude and told us "your kind would be better suited up at the resort". Disgusted and shocked by this foul customer service. We will never return to this gas station basement!

Considerating the options in the immediate area, it was ok. The outside eclectic decor needs fixing up. It's in the back basement area of a grocery/gas station also owned by the same people. Rusted furniture, gazebos, just not a priority. From the golf course side, looks like a bunch of junk tables. Other inside decor just meh. Pasta was OK, but we have had better for the price. Pizza was OK, but pricey.

Hard to find behind the gas station, and doesn’t look very good either. Wait staff not really sure about menu and drinks. That being said….FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. Drinks were great. Had a singer there our night, LOVED IT. The grouper was awesome, sausage penne pasta was our choice. Definitely would give this a try.

A small, mom-and-dad Italian restaurant in the basement of a gas station. Cute decor. Overlooks a golf course. Even though it's off the beaten path, people know of it and they come here. The food is very good. Pleasant place for dinner. We'll visit again!

Excellent Food! Get the Johnny Pasta with meatballs and sausage. Add mozzarella. Yummy!! Enough to share. The staff are amazing and kind, they work the honey off to get your food and drinks. A hidden gem!
