My family and I ate brunch at the Victory Kitchen & Restaurant this morning. It was absolutely delicious! Everyone loved it—even my finicky husband! When he likes a restaurant’s food & service, you KNOW it’s good! Would highly recommend!
😀Friendly and reasonable
Ate here over the summer. Super busy and everyone was still happy and full. Patience was well rewarded, the food and service were great and the property was beautiful.
Waitress is great! Food taste like it is out of a box and or can. Asked for additional crackers, didn’t have anymore. Really?

Perfect fried chicken. Lovely staff, lovely locals, and some really cool local art. :) (full disclosure, I'm almost exactly a year late posting this review, but I STILL remember our lunch here.)

Always great food and great people. Well worth your time. Your stomach will love you for it
The Club Sandwich was great. Just the right amount of cheese, turkey and ham! The “farm store” is unique, make sure you visit after you eat.

The best breakfast I have had in the 4 and a half years I have lived in the USA.
You have nothing to send to any other place in the area, or other states. The place is very cozy, simple presentation, 20 point flavor, excellent service and price. If I could give it 10 ? I'd give it to you.

First off their prices on their Facebook page are NOT accurate. We thought we were buying a cheap breakfast. Turns out we paid over $30 for the breakfast pictured TO-GO! It was a basic breakfast, nothing exciting. Their fried cornbread is awful and consists of flavorless cornbread burnt in a pan. Guessing this place is built on locals and repeat business. I definitely do not recommend for the price.

After reading about Victory Kitchen in Our State magazine, I had high expectations; the cozy farmhouse-turned-restaurant did not disappoint. With only about 10 or 12 tables surrounding the hearth of what were perhaps the front parlor and dining room of the house, the atmosphere is more that of eating at a favorite Southern grandmother's house than in a restaurant and the food like favorite recipes from that grandmother's kitchen. And like those homemade meals around Grandma's table, meals take time here...sweet, slow-down-and-enjoy-your-people time. With the small space and big reputation of the place, a wait for a table should be expected. It's a great opportunity to sit a spell on the front porch or at a picnic table in the yard. A sign inside gives fair warning that each meal is made to order and, therefore, takes time. If you are impatient, in a hurry, or have children who have difficulty waiting, save this place for when you can slow down and savor the setting and the delicious food; ain't no room for hangry here. Trust me, it will be worth the wait.

We ended up at this place on a whim this morning, and was unfortunately truly disappointed. We are glad they took us before ending breakfast service, however, the portions were super small and very pricey. We had 2 cups of coffee to go with it, and they never once came back to refill us, nor ever once checked to see how our food was. I had to get up and get utensils for me, my son and fiancé. There was food missing from our order which I had to get up and inquire about. There were still tables eating when we were ready for the check, however, we asked if we could please get a refill of coffee before we leave. We were told that they already cleaned the coffee pots and shut them down. I asked if we can at least get a cup of cold Iced tea for the caffeine boost, since they had never offered us a refill with our coffee before shutting down the pots. She asked if I would like to add that onto my bill, I responded no, why would I if we never got our refills?? I found out that our waitress was related to the owner, which therefore truly left me in shock about the disappointing customer service. I was a waitress for 15 years and understand how chaotic things can get, especially in a small seasonal town. However, we were always told to treat the customers right and to always check on the table. We also were never allowed to shut down our coffee makers until the last table was gone. It does not cost much to make a pot of coffee, there’s no reason to shut it down early, especially when there’s several tables still there. On another quick note, pretty crazy that if you were to order a few side dishes, they will actually charge you for a “full meal” (as my waitress said). They literally tell you that you can’t order three side dishes together in order to get a more reasonable cost. Never have I heard of menu rules like that (especially not printed), in which you cannot order 3 separate sides for the cost listed as per each! I’m a super kind & understanding customer when dining in establishments, and respect workers in this industry, but this service was hard for me to give slack about. I get that places can be busy this time of year, but at least check on your tables. Never once did we even receive a considerate apology.

Everything about Victory Kitchen and Restaurant was so fantastic , the service was great and the food was even better! It took some time to get seated and get our food (because they were slammed) but well worth the wait. We were in the area for two days and ate there twice. I look forward to coming back one day.
