I'm looking for information about this axe head I found in the woods . Other than " The Council Tool Co " stamped on it , I can't determine its age or even what type of axe head it is . And has " N° _12." Or " N° _17 stamped on it ..

I was looking for a forged steel, double bit Michigan axe, and was looking at Gransfors Bruk, which makes excellent tools. The Gransfors is $450, where the Council Tool Co. sells for $92 MSRP. I purchased the Council Tool axe from BaryonyxKnife.com in Bar Harbor, ME, and with shipping they were still under Council Tool's MSRP price. It is an excellent axe for the money!
