We booked one night here on short notice to take advantage of both of us having Labor Day off. Reservations were easy, and check in was easy. Once we arrived, we had reservations for dinner at the on-site restaurant (which is leaving or already gone however) for dinner, so after arriving at 3:30 PM, we did not need to leave the property. The evening meal was very good, and we had an amazing relaxation just sitting on the porch (I stayed out until 9:30 PM). We woke to rain but did not need to go out into it as we were in the main part of the inn and could walk the porch to breakfast. We did get there about 9:00 AM and most of the breakfast had already been gotten, but more eggs were eventually brought out. There was also a waffle maker but neither of us wanted to wait that long. Still, we got a sufficient breakfast. Our room was amazing, with old time charm and still being comfortable in a modern sense. The owners do an amazing job here, at least in my one night experience.
I stayed in the Little Echo Inn building beside the Main Inn. You can enjoy a view of the Main Inn from there and a mountain view. Full of history & charm! The hot Breakfast Buffet at the Inn is magnificent! Just the way to start your day! Staff in the Inn are very friendly & helpful! I'm looking forward to staying again!
There are not enough good things we can say about Echo Mountain Inn! We reserved the Royal Room for our anniversary trip and it far exceeded our expectations. The room was comfortable and the views were stunning! Breakfast in the mornings was fantastic; especially the grits! We can’t wait to come back for another visit!
What a breath of sweet heavenly fresh air. We were made to feel like we were family returning home for a week visit. The entire facility is clean and inviting. Our room was quite delightful and all comfy. The daily breakfasts were absolutely scrumptious and the evening restaurant “The View” was delicious. Echo Mountain is family owned and 4 generations of family members operate the business. That, I believe, is the key to the amazing atmosphere and service. We can’t find a complaint. Staff at Echo Inn were pleasant and willing to help. They were very appreciated. My wife and I stayed in the Quilt Haven room. We booked direct and got very reasonable priced for the stay. Even got special packages that got us significant gift cards for area merchants that were fantastic! Frankly, being from South Georgia, I was hesitant to drive over 6 hours for a vacation. We normally go the the beach and chill out. When my wife said she wanted to go to Hendersonville N.C. I said I wasn't going to do that. So we spent 5 nights and 6 days exploring the area. Room was comfortable. Beds were great. Television was mounted on the wall across the room and our older eyes couldn't see it well but we managed. They do not have room service unless you go to the desk and ask for help, but when I asked about it, the check in Lady was willing to go up and service the room. We declined but the offer was there. Bought my own tissue for the bathroom. The industrial paper provided was tougher than I was. We ate in the restaurant a couple of nights and the food was good. Warning: the appetizers were HUGE! Truffle fries were tasty but a big ole pile of them in a serving bowl. Same with the crunchy brussel sprouts. I felt terrible wasting them but the two of us could not eat all of it. When we came for breakfast in the morning, the food was fine. Even had some excellent grits one morning. It was clear though that each morning after the restaurant was open the night before, the floor was not swept and cleaned. I would recommend they sweep the floors on closing. My wife was right again and this vacation was very good. Downtown Hendersonville is excellent. The Elijah Gem Mine was a blast - we ended up spending two days digging in the dirt and got a new hobby - rocks! The folks working there were the greatest! Beautiful scenery and my wife spotted turkey, beaver and rabbit when driving up and down Echo Mountain. Carpe Diem!
I just can't say enough good things about Echo Mountain Inn. From our entrance to the charming decor, to the kindness of Sally and Marcy, we were totally won over. Then add the cuteness of the room, the porch and the delicious breakfast and you will want to go back just like us.
We're just back from our second visit to the Echo Mountain Inn in the last year. It's a very friendly, homey and comfortable place to be. Like a trip to an old cabin with good friends. My wife is already talking about our next 1200 mile road trip to Hendersonville and the Echo Mountain Inn.
My girlfriend and I stayed for a weekend getaway, and we absolutely LOVED it! Everyone was so friendly, not just and Echo Mountain, but the whole town of Hendersonville! The views were breathtaking, and even though you're up in the mountains, you're still within a reasonable distance to "town" for local shopping and dining. The only "con" was the bed in the Little Bo Peep room was a little hard, but nothing to make a fuss over it didn't hinder our trip at all! The Breakfast was great as well! Can't wait to go back!
This place is absolutely adorable! Really would be great for a cheap-er honeymoon away in the mountains. The downstairs was especially nice, with lots of huge windows overlooking the mountains, free coffee all day, and lots of great board games to mess around with. We also enjoyed the pool outside (comes equipped with lots of pool toys, if you're looking to come with kids). The staff was super kind and helpful as well.
We spent a few days at Echo Mountain Inn, and found it to be a very charming, and romantic place to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was very friendly, and accommodating, and the food was delicious. Our room was clean and had a covered porch with two chairs, which we enjoyed very much. The Inn is centrally located, so we were able to go to the Carl Sandburg Home, see West Side Story at the Flat Rock Playhouse, and visit a couple of wineries in the area. We will definitely plan to return here again!

Had a awesome dinner with a friend in town to visit the area. I had the Strawberry Avocado salad. It was full of flavor and refreshing. Our server did a awesome job of taking care of us. She answered our questions and was quick to full our order. My friend had a steak that was cooked perfectly. Did not need sauce on it. She ordered dessert to good that looked really good. The views of the mountains out the windows add to the great value of the restaurant.
Had the NY Strip steak and it was really good. Awesome view and the waitress was great.
