My husband and I ate here and the food was very good and the server was extremely friendly and professional. She filled our glasses three times. Very attentive and very friendly. Great place to eat in Lenoir NC! They have salads and have burgers/sandwiches (pub food). You have to go here!!

Food and atmosphere are great. Service was perfect. Thank you for an enjoyable lunch. Although could use a little more meat on the Rueben, but everyone else had large portions. Not a complaint, just a suggestion. Still a 5 STAR experience

Really loved the Carolina burger. The slaw was perfect. Reminded me of my grandma's cooking. Ask about the history of the building and how it shaped downtown Lenior. One of my favorite places to bring family and friends.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is street level and has lots of space between tables for all sizes of mobility chairs. The bathrooms are small however and likely would not fit a powered chair.

Everything was wonderful. Friendly and helpful staff, food was amazing. We got the pimento cheese dip, marinara sticks, the chicken pita, and blue devil burger. The highlights were the pimento cheese dip and the sweet potato fries with siracha ranch. The blue devil burger was heavy on blue cheese flavor, chicken pita reminded me of a Philly with how the cheese melted-so good.
We visited on a rainy Saturday lunchtime. Customer traffic was steady and kept the staff hopping. The food was good and the wait staff were friendly. We do not live in Lenoir but will make the trip back.

So darn good!This cafe and bar is a gem in the downtown area of Lenoir, that embodies so much of the legacy and history of Caldwell County and the surrounding region.We went for an early dinner yesterday but, they were closed.Vikki the hard working lady that runs this place came out front and greeted us. She invited us to come back another day and even recommended another place down the block, for us to find some dinner.So.....we came back the next day!My husband had a crispy buffalo chicken wrap, and I had a chicken salad croissant with sweet potato fries. Everything was so delicious! We also shared a bowl of tomato bisque soup. Vikki suggested dessert so we brought home a piece of coconut cream pie(even better than my grandma's) and a slice of chocolate pound cake with creamy chocolate icing. Can't say enough about the food!1841 cafe was very busy tonight and at first, the staff faced challenges keeping up, but in no time they had everyone seated, orders taken and the amazing food delivered. We had a great experience and so appreciate the special attention that Vikki gave us.We plan to return and try everything on this great menu!!!
