Not the best by any means! The food seemed to have been out for awhile. There wasn't many options to choose from food wise. Most of the time in a buffet you have many choices but here there were only 2 different typed cooked chicken and a choice of meat balls and ham with just a few sides.. Also for “steak house” to be in the name i feel there should be a choice of steak in the buffet.

We went to visit mother in law on mother's day and the food was not good. The hamburger steak tasted like a frozen patty that had been seared and then gravy dumped on it. Fried chicken was so so and same with vegetables and salad. Best thing was ice cream. Bathroom very small and dirty. Would not recommend this place. Very disappointed.

Yesterday I went to restaurant and clinet woman rude me I am Deaf ! I m eat hard rice yuck ! Not good service and bars food not good well ! Yuck foods bar clinet not bring food bar and ignore !

My family and I have gone to AJ's for a couple years now and we've always loved it, we've always been treated good but we went there the other day and the older waitress was very rude told us that our drinks was what they were and they weren't they were bottom of the barrel and then we wanted to save our food, (we've always paid for the take-home buffet you know and we paid so much a pound and we take it home, eat it later )we each got the buffet and we wanted to save our food and take them home with us which we never had a problem with it before, you know they've always let us pay for our poundage and that, but she screamed ? at us that we couldn't take it home we couldn't pay it because it was the buffet and the buffet was not to go home ? so we've decided we will not go to AJ's in Lenoir again! the rudeness was too much!

Went out for Eastee dinner today. Waitress was wonderful. Food tasted great except instead of having their wonderful soft and fresh yeast rolls (a major high point)they were serving second rate premade rolls you can get at any store taking away from the experience for sure, especially if you are a bread eater. Not happy with the change. Carpet really needs a deep cleaning or replaced with laminate for easier cleaning cause itsreally bad.

We went to AJ's Steakhouse, The food was excellent and prepared to order. We ordered off the menu board instead of the buffet. Our meal had salad bar and ice cream included. Our waitress was very attentive, checking on us numerous times during the meal. Parking was easy, Tip go in and out at the light to avoid traffic also the hill behind the restaurant is easy to scrape the bottom of the car if you have low ground clearance. We will eat here again.

Southern style buffet. $12 a person for lunch on a Saturday. Steak was on the buffet that was juicy & perfectly cooked. Other buffet options included BBQ, pork chops, Salisbury meatballs, fried chicken, baked chicken leg quarters, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans(southern style ' delicious), corn, cabbage, pintoes, greens, Lima beans, fried okra, rice & gravy, warm rolls, They have a huge salad bar with diced ham, boiled eggs , cheese , assorted veggies and homemade dressings. cornbread etc. for dessert, they had a soft serve ice cream machine along with several varieties of cakes, brownies, cookies, cobblers and fresh strawberry shortcake and fresh banana pudding. 10/10 recommend
The staff are so courteous and helpful, and every food item I tasted was delicious! Well worth the drive from Boone. Please keep up the great food and service!!
