Food was hot and fresh on the buffet.
First they lied about pricing. The sign apparently does not count senior discount on weekends.Second after paying 32.00 buffet for 2 people. We faced a disgusting salad bar with spoiled and rotten looking vegetables. They are not changing out food just mixing up old food. Witnessed by my own eyes.A rough looking man got almost in my face trying to move me out of the way to refil eggs which he dumped fresh right in with old looking eggs. Then wanted to talked me up like it was ok to push me out of the way nearly. Our wet plates were dried off ourselves at the table with napkins. The food on the buffet looked burned or bad.We ate as careful as we can. Here is to hoping we don’t get diarrhea or food poisoning. Never coming back here to scared to eat twice!
The food was good. I was worriedy grandson wouldn't eat when I was told they don't have chicken nuggets. But everyone went along with the 'T Rex Food' story I gave the kiddo, and he even tried new food!!! Lol Awesome people!!!
Food wasn't fresh over cooked but some stuff was good breakfast buffet is way better give them 5 stars on that
3 stars because some of the food on the buffet was cold and/or dry, like it had been sitting there for a while. The atmosphere was good. The toilet in the men's room looked like someone had eaten taco bell and stopped there to explode.
The food was okay. We ordered from kitchen. It was fast and Waitress did well.
This restaurant changes its hours day to day. The food on the bar is consistently greasy, old, & dried out. They need to close down. They continue to blame Covid for their problems with lack of employees and menu items.
Great place to go for good comfort food. It's basic homestyle cooking with a lot of options.
April 26,2022I only gave this place one star and that was for the rolls and ice cream. Salad bar was ok. Hot bar was disgusting. The chicken (baked and fried) still had long feather quills attached to it. Not just a few pieces but ALL of it. The Salisbury steak was terrible. Only a few choices of sides and they looked like they had been there for some time. The entire place just felt dirty. We stopped here for dinner based on the amount of vehicles that were there but boy we were wrong. We payed $30 for two buffets so it wasn't even cheap. Waitress was sweet and was attentive but otherwise I would not go back.
Everything on the hot bar is instant. Generic. But they have the best fried chicken in town. Of course a salad and dessert bar. Good place for conversation. The food: Meh. You can always order off the menu behind the registers though, that food is supposedly better.
Restaurantji Recommends
The food is usually good if you order off the menu or visit the buffet on Sundays around 1PM - 2 PM. The building is definitely in need of a good remodeling. It could use some updates to make it feel more modern.
Use to be a great place. Lately they don’t have chicken out or it looks like it’s been there awhile. It’s cold, and over cooked.
This place sucked from the word go. I arrived early, a little after 11, thinking I would get it fresh. Nope. While the wait staff was courteous I sat there with an empty glass and no extra plate. The selection of food was horrible. All the meat in the stewed beef was fat, as if they used the trimmings of their steakes. Even the fried chicken was overlooked and dry. The apple cobbler was all breading and no apples. The yeast rolls did keep them from getting a one star rating. I am very disappointed and would not recommend it to anybody.
When first walking in the waitress met me at the counter. She asked what I'd be having so I told her the lunch buffet. She was very sweet and asked what I wanted to drink while she was getting me a few plates and silverware. When I sat my things down at a table I looked around and it wasnt too busy and looked really clean. My waitress got me a glass of sweet tea (me being from out west I was always warned that it could be too sweet but compared to the glass I had in sc it was just perfect. Not too sweet but not too bitter). The Buffett was clean and looked pretty fresh. The fried chicken wasnt the best I've ever had but it wasnt the worst. I'd rate it a 6 out of a 10. The flavor was good on the skin but the inside was a tiny bit dry. Which can happen being at a buffet but it wasnt dry enough to where I needed a drink of tea every second. The mashed potatoes were light and fluffy and tasted better than most restaurants. I did get a tiny regular chicken breast. Very flavorful with seasoning but the inside was definitely dry. And the pulled pork was right in point. All in all I'd say between the friendly service, the food, and the cleanliness it was definatly a 4 out of 5.
Service is always good. The buffet is usually pretty good. Steaks are cooked to order. Salad bar is fresh. All around great experience. It is a weekly visit.
