Absolutely recommend this place! As a New York native living "taking refuge" in North Carolina, it has been challenging finding great pizza, so if you're like me and have a hard time finding pizza then look no further because this is the place! They have such a phenomenal welcoming family friendly environment and everything we tried was truly delicious!

The food is great and the owner been doing this for 45 years

I do not like pizza when do the berry festival was very hungry. I got pizza from this place and oh my God I thought it was the best pizza had ever had. The owner was absolutely delightful and funny and he made me quite enjoy his place. Plus I actually love the decor. I have talked about this pizza for over a year so now we're going back to get it again and go back and get some more berry juice

I stopped by this pizza place while on vacation in North Carolina, and it was such a great find! The food was absolutely delicious—some of the best pizza I’ve had in a while. The atmosphere was cozy and fun, filled with vintage antiques that added a unique charm to the space. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

The owner and the staff are always pleasant and makes it enjoyable to visit time and time again. The pizza is huge and is delicious. Definitely would recommend going!

A step back in time. When things are made from scratch and the owner loves his business, and cares about his customers. Had a great Chicken Alfredo brick oven cooked pizza , have to honestly say one of the best pizzas ever. And if you love cinnamon and have room, give those elephant ears a try, very tasty.

Amazing food amazing time. This was so much fun!! The food and service were unmatched. The way the owner interacted with us was just incredible. I highly recommend this place for pizza and family fun!!

5 star restaurant all the way!!! Me and my family 9 came after I graduated from the local trucking school.
We were accommodated and had a very wonderful experience.
The restaurant owner was very very energetic and polite and knew how to excite us as a crowd.
He even showed us the pizza oven.
We will definitely be back regularly, undeniably one of the most hospitable experiences ever I've had a restaurant I cannot recommend this place enough.
As for the dishes they were delicious, I had tried the cheese bread the margarita pizza, lasagna, thin crust pizza and their famous deep dish pizza all top quality and delicious.

Great atmosphere! Owner let us put our own pizza in the brick oven, such a cool experience with my family. Pizza is delicious & especially enjoyed the cheese bread.

Dined in, 2nd visit. I ordered the baked lasagna and my partner ordered the spaghetti. When they brought our food out, it was wrong. So, my partner got his and I had to wait for mine another 15 minutes. The guy who took our order was a special needs person. I'm all about hiring people who need a job but don't let them be the face of your business. I had to repeat the order 3 times. No one checked on us to ask how our food was. The spaghetti sauce was so sweet because of the amount of sugar that was put in it. I was pretty disappointed this time. Spent $30 on the meal, so not worth it. The atmosphere was pretty cool with all the antiques. I think they should spend the money on better staff who can be competent enough to take an order of 2 entrees and 2 drinks.

For all of those looking for real Chicago style pizza, today we found a hidden gem in Lenoir NC. The pizza was amazing, the restaurant full of interesting antiques and the owner an absolute delight! We had a great time and by far the best Chicago style pizza I've ever had. Can't wait to go back to Piccolo's Pizza!!! 😃

In town from Fl over night picking up college student in nearby Boone. Our hotel recommended this place and so appreciative they did! We had a fantastic meal, their spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, and tasty long bread, garlic bread. Nice booth/table areas to sit and enjoy and check out all of the knickknack artifacts on the walls and shelves around. The dine in option does not have waitstaff to the table, order at counter then a number to chosen seat. Meals brought to you and throughout same staff check on tables. Gentleman who took our order thinking was owner. Such a jovial and great sense of humor guy! Really takes pride in offering an enjoyable well tasting meal and did not disappoint! Hoping he may read this and if I can thank him as “Mr eyebrows” 😆🤗

This is like you stepped into a time capsule! Go back in time to Chicago and get a deep dish w/out the fly to Chicago!
