Tried two of their Cuban sandwiches and they were delicious, soo flavorful. The bread was crispy and had melty cheese. I loved the yuca fries! They are better than any french fry or sweet potato fry I’ve ever had. The aoli paired perfectly with them. The fried platanos were delicious as well but a little on the sweet side for what I’m used to, they’re perfect for saving them for dessert! Next time I really want to try their rice and beans! What a great little restaurant here in lenoir!

Heather was an AWESOME waitress! Food not good. The steak only sandwich was pathetic. It was a tiny thin slice of very tough meat that I had to spit out. Get better meat and you might have better reviews! Also you need to put more meat in your sandwiches

The Good. The place is very cute, clean, festive and comfortable. The server was VERY new, not polished at all - but very sweet and fun. Certainly a net positive, but didn't help the logistics of getting our food / drinks. The owner stopped to talk to us and she was very kind. Dessert (blackberry Tres Leche) was good. Empanadas and Croquettes were excellent.
The Bad. The entrees just weren't very good. Chicken was overcooked and dry, pork (like pork belly) wasn't flavorful. Overall the entrees lacked seasoning.
Other. If you're having cocktails, I'd enter from the lower street and sit at a booth in the bar. The delay to get a drink from the downstairs to the main floor is significant.

Always a great place to eat and meet up with friends! Haven't had a bad meal yet and have been going for years. Iris (the owner) is the most friendly person and is willing to do whatever you need. You might wait a bit longer if it's crowded but enjoy their bar drinks. She has dedicated gluten free fryer and options. Deserts are awesome!

My wife and I discovered this restaurant tonight and although we live about a half-hour's drive away, we'll definitely be back. Taste of Havana features everything you'd want in a restaurant: a beautiful interior, reasonable prices, friendly and accommodating service, and absolutely delicious food that isn't just the same menu items you can find everywhere else. Highly recommended!

Me and my daughter stopped here for lunch while passing through Lenoir. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has beautiful decorations and paintings of Cuba. The food is absolutely delicious. I love cuban sandwiches and have tried them from every city that has cuban food including Miami, Key West, etc. This place has one of the best Cubans I have ever had. We will be back!
