Decided on a whim to try Hot Dog Headquarters and am I glad we did. Hubby tried 3 different dogs while I stuck with a North Carolina classic, the "All the Way" (in my case, chili, mustard, slaw). Both of us raved about our choices: tasty fresh slaw, great flavorful chili, fresh buns, and perfect hot dogs! We'll be back for sure! My husband already has planned which dogs to try on the next trip. We were also able to stroll a lap on the walking path around the nearby ball fields to round out our "date."

Stopped by for a quick snack before going to a dinner with friends because, as a self-proclaimed hot dog afficionado, I HAD to go here. They have Brightleaf hot dogs, which are the best in my humble Eastern NC opinion. Nearly everyone who walked in to place an order, Ken knew who they were. Excellent service, great food, and cool, eclectic local folk art. Ken created all the art himself, and it's pretty cool. Cash only, dine in or take out. I had 1 all the way and 1 county line with, of course, a Mtn Dew. A nice bite of local culture.

Awesome hot dogs and a really unique atmosphere definitely get by there great guy who knows a lot of world war II history aviation wise definitely stop by.
Parking: Main parking is in the rear of the business you can also have a few slots there on the outbound side of the gravel driveway.

Just a little hotdog stand that makes a variety of different hotdogs. My favorite is the Chicago Dog and my boyfriend loves the Vegas Dog. It's a small town and hole in the wall but that's the best part! It doesn't disappoint. Go on and see them. They are also veteran owned!!
