Five late orders in a row tells me this is a management problem. Delivery is late, carryout isn’t ready. There’s no excuse for this level of inconsistency

Pro tip: ordering six hours in advance does NOT help at this Papa John’s. This is the fifth time they’ve been late—delivery or carryout, doesn’t matter. They quote times they clearly can’t meet. If you enjoy waiting and being disappointed, this is the place for you.

Too bad zero stars isn’t an option! Arrived at the store at the time the app said pizza would be ready. Hadn’t even started it. Waited 45 minutes for 1 pizza. If you’re ordering from this restaurant you better plan a day in advance. They could not have cared less that customers were waiting. Poor management for sure!!

I love Papa John's pizza and the usually fluffy crust, but this time it was a little flatter than usual. Though tasty, it was a little disappointing.

Placed an order an hour before pick up. It was only 2 people when I walked in. This woman and men was by themselves going as fast as they could. Then lo and behold the rest of the crew comes in. There should be a rule of only 1 or 2 people on break at a time and consider the other workers. Poor girl was stressed out. And it was indeed 4 workers coming back at the same time

Only 2 people working the lunch shift on a saturday is insane. I wouldn't have cared about the wait if the time estimate on the website was correct. I had to wait 45 min on top of the 20 estimate. There's a line out the door as the google estimate says this isn't a busy time. Don't trust the websites, call. Hoping my food is decent at least. 😭

Twice I had to cancel my order because it took over an hour for one large pizza carry out and they didn’t even start the pizza when I went to check on the pizza. I thought it was just a one time mistake so I let it go the first time but this is ridiculous.

Absolutely terrible restaurant experience in Lillington, NC. The manager (A^^^e) would not crack a smile to greet customers, would not help an older customer put 3 XL pies into a thermal bag, as pies were coming out 1 got stuck—delaying the order an extra 10 minutes or so—all while not apologizing once. This young female was not friendly, efficient, or even happy to be working at the Lillington, NC restaurant. I ended up just leaving without food, canceling order and going elsewhere, saving myself further aggravation. Every single other Papa John’s or Domino’s I’ve been to treats its customers pleasantly and respectfully. Trust me, I wouldn’t be wasting my time with this complaint otherwise.

On multiple occasions, I’ve pulled up to gety pizza because the app told me it was ready but it wasn’t even done baking. On two of those occasions, it took them well over an hour to put my order in my hands from the time it was originally place.

Update: Went back to this papa John’s because I’m an idiot… and they did the same exact thing again this time except I asked them why they always mark it as “ready” when it’s not ready because this has happened multiple weeks in a row now, and every single time I’ve been to this location and the lady immediately caught an attitude, getting defensive. I will admit, I definitely returned the attitude and law enforcement was called. Sorry excuse for an establishment.

I wish I could give this place a rating lower than one star. My recent visit to Papa John's Pizza in lillington was incredibly disappointing. The pizza I received looked nothing like the takeout pictures I had seen; it was incomplete and lacked flavor. What I got was simply unacceptable.

Additionally, I noticed that the staff did not wear gloves while handling the pizza toppings and dough, which raises serious hygiene concerns.
The most frustrating part of my experience was dealing with the manager, who exhibited a very bad attitude when I expressed my concerns. Instead of addressing my feedback in a professional manner, I was met with dismissiveness.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I sincerely hope they take this feedback seriously and make improvements to their quality and service.
