The Garden State Grill

So excited to have found this hidden gem! The food here was phenomenal. You can tell everything is so fresh. Those French fries with the gravy, though......Wow!😍 Not only was the food phenomenal, but the service was great too. All the staff were so kind and friendly, and we also got to meet the owner who was such a fun guy! I'm sure this place is gonna become a new family favorite!❤️

Incredible restaurant with wonderful food and service. I really enjoy the consistently good that Garden State cranks out, and it doesn’t hurt that they have a great beer menu either! I have had a lot of good times with my family in this restaurant and hope to have many more!

Slow, VERY SLOW service. Waitresses chit chatting, overpriced not good food. Will not be back. GO ELSEWHERE

Move in day first meal in our new town, found on Google, picked it based on reviews and this pick was a SUCCESS! Lovely lunch with our awesome friends here yesterday. The Greek salad with chicken, burger, fried ravioli and grilled chicken were delicious 😋 the fried pickles were incredible too! Our service was fantastic and the manager was super friendly and warm. DEFINITELY recommend and we will DEFINITELY be back many times

Very mid yet priced high

Had a great lunch with friends enjoying a Meatball Appetizer and Ruben. (Meatballs weren’t on the appetizer menu but the awesome staff accommodated our request. Meatballs are my jam!) The meatballs were meaty and the tomato sauce was flavorful. The Ruben was really good. The meat was tender, flavor, on point! Friendly service checked on us often and knew everything about the menu, Atleast the answer to all our questions.

Recommend and we’ll be back!

Yesterday, we rented the private room for my daughter's baby shower and it could not have gone any smoother. I spoke with Ben a couple of times prior to as we were coming from out of town to host the shower . Ben was always available to answer questions by phone. He met us yesterday when we came early to decorate and was extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs. The service was great...thank you Carrie (?sp) and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful time and everyone enjoyed themselves! Thank you Garden State Grill!!

I FINALLY ordered from TGSG last week (takeout). I work just a half mile away. The Black & Blue Burger was cooked to perfection (I ordered medium rare). I also grabbed Chicken Fingers (child portion) and those were delicious - airy and not at all dry.

Looks like a relaxing place to have lunch/dinner (also has a bar and outdoor patio tables). Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Must return soon to try items more specific to NJ. Like the burger with Taylor Pork Roll... That's definitely happening!

My waiter Jeremy was wonderful. I have never been here so I looked at the menu online. I really wanted crab cakes and had narrowed it down to two places and choose this place out of the two. I was informed they do not have crab cakes at this time. So I ordered the special mahi with seasoned rice and another side I choose mashed potatoes with gravy. The rice was not seasoned just white rice as far as I could tell the potatoes were good but very lumpy the mahi was good. I also ordered sweet potato tots and was pleasantly surprised they are delicious

Everything about this place is great! They have new specials all the time - and they're GOOD! I had the pork chop smothered in demi glazed mushrooms, once (though I don't have a picture), and it was AMAZING! This week they had sea bass and flat iron steak as a few of the options on the specials.

On their every day menu, they have filet mignon (I had it, and it was so good!), the Constanza (their special version of the reuben) and wow does it just MELT in your mouth with creamy goodness! They also have the Balboa, which I had today and it is their Philadelphia roll. They offer it in traditional steak (which I had) or chicken. The roll was perfect and the cheese was gooey goodness.

Everything is good from the fries to the onion rings down to the freshness and crispness of the cucumbers in the salads. I swear.... If you're in the area GO! We intend on trying as many items in this menu as possible! Sooooo many choices!
