The Garden State Grill

My waiter Jeremy was wonderful. I have never been here so I looked at the menu online. I really wanted crab cakes and had narrowed it down to two places and choose this place out of the two. I was informed they do not have crab cakes at this time. So I ordered the special mahi with seasoned rice and another side I choose mashed potatoes with gravy. The rice was not seasoned just white rice as far as I could tell the potatoes were good but very lumpy the mahi was good. I also ordered sweet potato tots and was pleasantly surprised they are delicious

This was a random find and truely is a hidden gem of an establishment. The food was phenomenal and service from the staff was amazing.

Everything about this place is great! They have new specials all the time - and they're GOOD! I had the pork chop smothered in demi glazed mushrooms, once (though I don't have a picture), and it was AMAZING! This week they had sea bass and flat iron steak as a few of the options on the specials.

On their every day menu, they have filet mignon (I had it, and it was so good!), the Constanza (their special version of the reuben) and wow does it just MELT in your mouth with creamy goodness! They also have the Balboa, which I had today and it is their Philadelphia roll. They offer it in traditional steak (which I had) or chicken. The roll was perfect and the cheese was gooey goodness.

Everything is good from the fries to the onion rings down to the freshness and crispness of the cucumbers in the salads. I swear.... If you're in the area GO! We intend on trying as many items in this menu as possible! Sooooo many choices!

Went there to meet someone (no show), but the staff was very cordial and had no problem with me waiting a very long time. Eventually I tried the grilled chicken with a shrimp cocktail appetizer. Excellent food!

We eat at Garden State regularly and have never been disappointed! Everything on the menu is always freshly cooked and delicious, to include the weekly specials. Staff is always very friendly and attentive. Tonight, I finally tried one of the burgers and it is easily the best burger in Lillington!

The sliced turkey avocado sandwich, the french fries and the chicken parmesan pasta were all fantastic! The service was very pleasant! I recommend!

Best restaurant in Harnett County by a mile! Every single thing we've tried is delicious and the staff and owners are great.

Kid-friendliness: They have several kids options and my daughter is obsessed with the chicken tenders.

I have seen some of the negative reviews in the past surrounding this establishment and I truly believe they have turned it around since then.

This was my first time visiting The Garden State Grill, and it had exceeded my expectations on nearly every level.

It had a very laid back atmosphere with few patrons inside when my buddy and I arrived. This was not a problem and was welcomed and appreciated because I am not a huge fan of a super packed restaurant or bar, especially when college football is on.

Our servers name was Meg and she was lively and personable. She was consistently checking in with us throughout the dining experience and even helping us find the UNC vs NC State game.

Once our food arrived I honestly thought it was small in proportion. However after eating the “Balboa” which is their highly rated and reviewed philly steak sandwich on their menu, I was very satisfied. Also the mashed potatoes were very good as a side. Did not leave hungry.

I will be back as soon as possible. Everything on their menu looked like something I wanted to try. This looks and feels like a bar anyone in Lillington could become a regular at.

Excellent experience. Slow on a Sunday evening, the rosemary infused Jersey sauce wings are to die for, nice and crispy. Burgers are killer, perfect every time and that BBQ sauce is gonna keep me coming!
Good overall vibe, server Johnny B was energetic, attentive, and popular among other patrons.
Highly recommend!

Order the Alfredo with grilled chicken. It was good average pasta, Alfredo. The server was very nice and made sure to check in on me often. I would definitely be back to try other dishes.
