Food was decent but not as amazing as I was hoping for. This is probably a great place for local Costa Ricans who want a taste of home. My mother was with us and she has been to Costa Rica, she said it felt just like a place you would eat at over there. They had a tv behind the bar with soccer on and the booths felt like they were from a diner from years past. As for ambiance it was lacking for sure. Our waitress was very nice and quick bringing out the food. The food was tasty but not every dish wowed us. I know many of the Yelpers loved this one but I'm just not a fan. I'd give it another shot if I'm in the area again but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit Arcadia.

It was "ok" but the food really didn't have the WOW factor I had expected.

Super fresh Costa Rican restaurant! It's kind of a hole in the wall place but so worth going in. The staff are helpful but not all of them speak the best English no big deal just need to occasionally point at the menu. Everything is reasonably priced. We got the Maduro con Queso for an appetizer it is a plantain baked and covered in cheese surprisingly delicious. Our main dish was Chifrijo and the dish is packed with fresh flavor. The pork belly melts in your mouth and just the right amount of crispy. The menu has good variety it seems to be very authentic from what I can tell.

Really did not like this Chrifrijo. Looks very cheap. For $7 they could do better.

We were desperately searching for some place to eat during our trip from Blowing Rock to Atlanta. Searching through Yelp who knew we would stumble upon a fabulous Costa Rican restaurant in Lincolnton? This small, understated and very clean restaurant serves delicious food!! I had the scrumptious garlic shrimp with rice, salad, fresh avocado and plantains (a standout). My husband loved the bisteca, rice, black beans and salad and plantains. They also have a lovely blackberry beverage (which comes in mango and other tropical fruits) to die for. The service was extraordinary with friendly and helpful servers. What a gift Yelp provided because we would have never known Acadia Restaurant existed.
