I’ve been coming here since they opened. I continue to be delighted with the food, wine and service. I love that they are open on Mondays when the rest of the town is closed.
Walked in and we were instantly bashed at the door by a very rude individual, (girl who looks like a walking chucky doll) saying they can't serve us bc of our children! It was 11am and the family and I wanted to have a nice brunch. It would have been different if we were greeted with some respect but that wasn't the case today. I will never visit this establishment again, and I will tell others to steer clear as well. Not a family oriented business at all.
This place is an absolute JOKE. We came for brunch and they wouldn’t seat us because we brought our kids. They deserve no business and we’ll never step foot here again.
Love the choice of appetizers! It's just an added plus that it's such a relaxing environment.
City Cellar is one of my favorite places to dine or enjoy a relaxing glass of wine! The food is excellent. The staff is friendly and eager to please! One of the things I appreciate most is that no children under 16 are allowed. I know that I can enjoy dinner, drinks, and conversation without having to deal with children whining, crying, or causing a ruckus! I love children but sometimes it's just nice to know there is a place to go to relax in an adult only venue!
Absolutely NO REASON that children under the age of 16 should not be allowed. This is a restaurant that serves alcohol and it should be the parents choice as to which restaurant they visit. But because you serve “alcohol”, my 12 year old wasn’t allowed inside… Longhorn serves alcohol and guess what?! My 12 year old can sit and have a nice dinner with his family without being discriminated against!! Will NOT return!
Wine oz per price is absolutely joke. Who serves under a 5oz glass? At a wine bar??? That’s a shot, right? Here on a Sunday in between Christmas and NYE, at 7pm and they have alternative rock on. Head banging. When I’m paying these prices and having wine on a holiday Sunday evening, music adds to atmosphere. I’m leaving early. Headache producing music. 20 somethings picking music. Per my asking to change.
I really enjoyed our food and service here. It was refreshing as we have left most restaurants in Lincolnton feeling disappointed. This redeemed our dining experience in Lincolnton. Will definitely be coming back. The food was fresh and the serving sizes were perfect. They also did an excellent cheesecake for dessert.

We came in around 740 at night were seated outside as requested, we only received one small glass of water that was never refilled, the shrimp cocktail was not deveined or bowel resected. We asked to have the patio heater turned on and the waitress never came back to give us any notification on that. When the food finally arrived an hour later, the vegetables were undercooked and under seasoned. I ordered the cellar burger which had about .5 inches of unmelted Gouda on top and was greasy. Very disappointing wait time, service and food portion and flavor.

The food is mediocre at best. Attached is my $30 “medium rare” steak. About 1/2 an inch thick, it’s almost like it was purchased from the local budget grocery store. This establishment was able to let us wait about 10 minutes for drinks, even though they have about 5 servers floating around. Also, the staff is very unfriendly. A $100 not well spent. Would not be returning.

Cocktails? I don’t think so. All mixed drinks must include wine! My wife and I just had a burger. They don’t have fries. We couldn’t get lettuce, tomato or anything else on it. They did offer mashed potatoes or rice!
Servers were unorganized and seemed confused. We were never asked how we wanted our burgers cooked. We each had a 2 beers and our bill was $54.
I’ll be surprised if they’re still here in three months.

After seeing the menu online we had high hopes, and were pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere, plus the fact they had a full bar. But we deeply disappointed in the actual results. When we went there were only a few other tables, we ordered shortly after we were seated but 30 min later we still didn’t have any food and our server never returned to say there was a problem. Another random server saw us looking around and asked if we were planning on eating…and we replied that was our plan. When she checked with the kitchen they said our ticket never printed, but our order was now in and they would have it right out. 20 min later-nothing, no food, no server, no manager, no explanation or apologies. We left cash for our 2 drinks and made our exit, with no plans to return. Very poor management!

Went for the first time Friday night. The jazz instrumentalist was awesome! We were seated promptly. Ordered the Prime Rib...
The food was okay (I've had better cuts of prime rib...ijs) and service could have been better. I will try again and order some other menu items.

I love this place, food was great and atmosphere is amazing. Amanda is such a great server. The Kerri is a great boss.
I was treated very poorly recently by one of the server Maeven. Was ignored for the most part and caught an attitude with me for unknown reason.
