Food was pretty good but service was terrible. First and last visit.

Food was decent. Service was awful. Our waitress only came by to check on my table maybe 2 times. I had to ask other staff to order after 30 min of waiting and for refills. Got our food 40 min later. Had to ask hostess for our checks and the checks were wrong. Won’t be back.

I do not understand why it has became an issue to get all of your change back. Who has made an executive decision on this!? When I pay you cash do not ask me if I want my change and give me every penny back that is owed to me. Where is this coming from? It is not okay and really it is theft. I am not tipping for a carry out bag and I am almost to the point that I am not ever tipping again at all. High prices and then you expect us to pay your staff on top of the prices!! I am not playing the game.

We held a wedding dinner party out on the patio of Local Roots, the staff was so nice and helpful! The food was very good and Zander was a wonderful waiter! We will be back! Try the fried okra and the pimento cheese, you won’t regret it!

Don’t try to place a pick up order after 7 phone stays off the hook until 9 when the kitchen closes. Then they claim they can’t take the order. This has happened several times. My husband and I check the reservations to see if there are tables available after we get off work. There never are and then they make it impossible to place a pick up order. We used to eat here all the time, always placed at the bar always able to get food after 7. Since I’ve been pregnant we don’t want to be in a loud bar setting and it’s impossible to avoid. Unfortunately after tonight we will not be returning.

Took mom for lunch on a Saturday. Shrimp salad, veggie wrap & 2 teas were $45. Mom’s fries were heavily salted, same with the shrimp on the salad. We tried it, too pricey for what it was. On a positive note the server was very friendly.

My boyfriend and I came here for date night the other day and the food and service was amazing! Our server and bartenders were all so sweet and friendly. The food and drinks are a bjt pricey but definitely worth it! The espresso martinis we had as our dessert was 10/10. Definitely recommend for a date night.

I want to love this restaurant so badly. Highlight is that a majority of their food comes from local farmers in the area. Unfortunately, with the ambience, it’s usually very loud and does not feel private or cozy. The food also leaves something to be desired. I will keep trying it. I know they’ll probably get it right soon.

Had New York Strip steak. I ordered it medium, to rare for me, sent it back and it came out PERFECT. I'm 74 years young and adventurous. I'm glad I gave them a try. Fridays and Saturdays they have PRIME RIB I'm going to try. Food is good and you can't typically find items in a restaurant. Very attentive from waiters or waitresses.

We absolutely LOVED our first experience at Local Roots. We moved to the area in the last year and have been trying to find an amazing restaurant to make our favourite spot. WE HAVE FOUND IT! They came highly recommended by locals.
Everything from start to finish was flawless. As I was eating I said I couldn’t wait for our next visit. Fantastic food, service and ambiance. WELL DONE! As a previous restaurateur, I appreciate an excellent dining experience. We are excited to come visit y’all again soon!

Extremely cold for lunch. The bill for 2 lunch over $55!!!!!! Outrageous. Not that good for that price.. I can go to Aspen Grille.
