So I live in Lincolnton for over 5 years and I finally decided to try vittles today and I got their wing special And I ordered it as soon as they opened up. So I assume my wounds are going to be fresh and hot and crispy. They were not hot. They were definitely stale and they were dry and I even tried to dip it in the ranch dressing and it still had a stale taste to it. I eat wings if I don't eat nothing else so I know when wings are good and when they're not and unfortunately these were not good at all. I'm very disappointed because I was so excited to finally get a chance to try them

Went there because they had good reviews and tater tots. Must have been an off night. Ordered a footlong cord dog, tator tots and cheese curds. Both the cord dog and the cheese curds were almost black yet the batter was so thick on the corn dog that it wasn't fully cooked. Ended up tossing out the curds and peeling the batter of the dog. Might be time to change the oil in the fryer. At least the tots were good.

Not much to say about this place. Very limited menu. Mostly burgers if one kind or another and a lot of side items. I ordered the Big Bad Wolf. Turns out that this is just a sandwich, and a small one at that.
Looking for BBQ; take a pass on this place.

Vittles in Lincolnton is truly a delight and can be considered as one of the top dining places in town without much effort. The friendly smiles and the great feeling of southern hospitality that welcomes you in the very moment of your arrival make you feel absolutely comfortable. The surroundings are simple and warm, a nice, neat place that is suitable for the company of a family, friends or even a casual date night.
The food here is excellent to the point where you can hardly say anywhere else. Each meal is done perfectly, bursting with flavor, and it is very obvious that it was made with a loving heart. No matter the bite, you can feel the freshness, whether it is from the meats that are seasoned to the perfection, the sides that are filling, or the desserts that are just right in terms of sweetness and comfort. The amount of food that you get is more than enough, thus making you leave with a full stomach and the prices are even lower than what you would expect for the quality and quantity you get.
What really sets Vittles apart, though, is the service. The employees are extremely friendly and they can do everything to make you feel treasured as a customer. Beverages are filled up without delay, dishes are brought hot and the servers are always around with a smile to check on you. Nowadays, it is very difficult to find a place that does everything perfectly - from serving food and providing service to the atmosphere - but Vittles is one of them.
In case you are a local of Lincolnton or just a visitor, you should definitely stop at Vittles. It is the type of place that makes you remember the good food and nice people that never go out of fashion. I mean, a full five-star mark!

We ate at Viddles on July 11, 2025 (around 3–5 p.m.) and had one of the most disturbing restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We waited a long time for our food while the employees behind the counter seemed more interested in socializing with friends or coworkers than helping customers. One of them was even eating a red candy apple — possibly over the food being prepared.
When our burgers finally came out, there was red, sticky candy residue on and under the bun. We showed it to the staff, and they looked shocked — we even overheard one say, “I think that’s your candy apple.” Instead of remaking the burger, they just changed the buns and tried to serve it again. When we realized that, we refused it and asked for new food. They did remake it, but no one apologized or offered a discount. The whole thing was brushed off — completely unsanitary and unacceptable.

Use to be great. But not today. First, I go for the best zucchini fries in town. Today I was told they didn’t have any fresh produce like zucchini and squash. No excuse or answer why. So ordered fries and a sandwich. When I went to pay it asked for a tip up front. I tipped. But other than bringing me my food to the table I didn’t see any service. What is the tip for. The fries were burnt. We cleaned our table off. Not a good experience.

The food was good but we waited way too long for a very simple order. Not to mention it was a Thursday evening and not very busy. When it finally did arrive, there were items missing. The employees seemed to care more about socializing rather than getting orders out. They were on their phones and walking in and out of the building to hang out with the group sitting out front. Combine that with their sanitation rating of 96 and it’s just not really worth it for a cheeseburger. If all you’re looking for is a nice place to sit for a beer and hang out, then this is the perfect place but it’s definitely not somewhere I will be taking my family for dinner again.
