This was honestly some of the worst food I've ever had. It lacked all flavor. The joke in our family is that now when the kids misbehave, we threaten to take them back to Vittles.
(I usually wouldn't leave a negative review, but the older server lady--who I think also may be an owner--was extremely rude to us. Bad food and bad service are a bad combo. Anyway, do yourself a favor and find another place to eat.)

BAD first impression. Cold bacon, cold pulled pork on a cold semi dry boring bun that's not even warmed or toasted.. they were not even busy, so there was no real excuse for it other than laziness. yes, the lady offered to make me another, but the damage was already done. Even if it came out fresh and hot, that little bite of a sandwich was not worth $10

Terribly run. The people they have running the cash register lets food sit for 30+ minutes while they play on their phone. Food ends up being ice cold. Hire better people.

If you like grease and thin patties this is the place for you
The cowboy burger was pretty good along with the fries. My friend got the same burger but fried squash, she loved it. The problem we had was I got my order she waited for hers and when she checked on it they hadn't made it. She got hers after I was already done eating. For what we got it was a bit pricey. There was a separate charge for the side, instead of
one price to the burger and fries.

This is a quaint little restaurant in Lincolnton. Food is made fresh to order. Looks like a great hangout spot and a place to have a great time with friends and family. I would make sure to have some time for they do get busy quick and it is not that large of a place...which is part of the charm. Definitely worth the visit

Small resturant located in downtown Lincolton. Place is more of a greese spoon. Think fried chicken, ice cream, burgers etc.. Great place to enjoy a pitcher of beer with friends, while sitting outside. Staff was a mix of young teens. Which is kinda cool. You don't see that much now a days. Indoor seating is limited, but place has a bit if charm to it. Great local small business.

A great place to sit and grab a bite if you’re venturing on Downtown Main. Service is super friendly but sitting outside and inside does feel crammed. Food is average but the price is great.

My girlfriend and I went here and it was beyond our expectations, I mean simply by far the best place I’ve eaten at in a while when it came to casual sit down eating. When we walked in everything was perfect from the owner greeting us as soon as we walked in the door to us just taking our time and looking over the menu ( it was our first time here) he was very patient and understanding with us any and all questions they were asked or answered in the most professional and courteous way possible.
And when the food came, it was way beyond our expectations. You definitely get your moneys worth I couldn’t have asked for better. I felt like I was literally about to starve when I walked in and I almost couldn’t finish my burger because it was so big everything was cooked to perfection . I highly recommend if anyone has the money and the time to really check these people out they are the real deal.

Vittles is a great little restaurant that adds to the charm of Lincolnton. The girls upfront were so cheerful and accommodating. As you can see they let me take a picture. I got the Wild Mustang (Reuben named after a local high school) with extra 1000 Island and tater tots. Both were wonderfully cooked and brought to my table. My Mom got the Fried Zucchini and I got to try them too. Next time I’ll be getting them. They also had a local singer entertaining outside and he was great. He had our toes a tapping. Overall I really enjoyed all Vittles had to offer. I’ll definitely be back and bring more people with me.

Visited today on the advice of other postings. Was NOT happy with the experience. I ordered a Reuben style sandwich that was not good at all. The meat was overcooked and crispy or burnt, with the bread barely toasted. It also had a very small amount of meat and toppings on it for the $10 price, and any fries or sides are EXTRA. Sandwich was definitely NOT worth $10. My wife's burger was ok, at best. The bad part of it was the VERY thickly sliced onion on it. It was a good 1/2“ thick. Guess they don't know how to slice onions correctly. Lastly, the fries were undercooked and maybe, room temperature. They were NOT fresh or hot by any stretch. All in all, the meal cost two people $35 and was not worth it at all. I would have gotten better food at Zaxby's for much less money. We will not be coming back.
Update: to reply if we let anyone know while we were there, no we did not. It would not have made a difference. I sincerely doubt that either the portion would have been enlarged to justify the high prices, or the prices lowered accordingly. Yes, they could have recooked everything to be much better, but at that point, it's not worth it. You have one chance to make a good impression, and what is being served is not worthy of the quality that could be provided for the price point be requested. I always try to visit homegrown family businesses and are highly happy and pleased with the results the vast majority of the time. Unfortunately, I hope that Vittles does see the unhappy posts and does something about it. I don't like seeing family businesses struggle or even fail.
