We had such a fun day here! The games are a nice touch. Our daughter fished, she caught 3 trout. They cleaned and fried them. It was my first time eating trout and I have to say it was pretty good. Next time I'll get pulled pork, it smelled so good! We spoke to the owner a few times who was working the register and he is so funny and friendly! Great personality. The only thing I would change is the way the fish is served. I'd do the bed of lettuce with the fish on one side of the plate and then the fries and hush puppies on the other side so the fish grease doesn't drip on it. That's not such a pleasant taste. Lol
We loved it though, had a great time and we will be back!

Great place to go for lunch or dinner. Live music, great food and setting, They have a few disc golf, covered seating, small creek where you can dip your toes in the water, and a trout pond with rod rentals.

Quaint laid back restaurant with beautiful scenery. Great Place for trout fishing, kicking back with a cold one, and hanging with fellow road warriors.

Staff was very hospitable and made us feel welcome. This is a family-oriented establishment with excellent BBQ, drinks, scenery and fishing. A MUST VISIT during an NC Blue Ridge Parkway adventure.

Really nice place, lemonade was delicious, possibly best I ever had in my life. All the staff was super friendly and eager to talk. Property is beautiful and nestled in the back of the main road. Looked like you could catch your own trout and have them prepare it. Store was really nice, music was good, definitely 10/10 for this guy from Florida.

Cool place. Nothing but a bunch of flags and a sign or two visible at the road (good move with the flags, BTW). Then, wind around dirt and gravel roads a bit further than you might expect with "classy" signs on the trees letting you know which road to stay on and which sasquatch you may run into out there. Then, you pass by a pond or two and over a stream or two as you come up to the cool, old barn-like structure that has been fixed up to be a neat, rustic indoor-outdoor restaurant, bar, and gift shop. Friendly service. Delicious burger. Hand-cut fries. If you drive a 4WD, you'll feel right at home with the driveway and parking. If you don't, you'll do just fine. I plan to come back!

My family happened upon this place when we visited Linville Caverns which is right down the road. The food was delicious, the staff were kind and made us feel right at home and the atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for people of any age. They have outdoor games, fishing, walking trails, a picnic area, yummy food! Truly something for everyone here and we will definitely visit again whenever we are back in the area.

Since we found Banks Creek Farm a couple of years ago, we’ve never gone to another trout farm. We’re a family of 6 from Miami and every time we come up to the area, we make time to go and enjoy our weekends there. The atmosphere is wonderful, the owner and his son are attentive and kind, and the experience is definitely worthwhile. They clean and prepare the fish you catch, provide grills for you to make yourself if you choose to, and in one of our visits, the owner even helped our kids catch some fish. The place is truly wonderful.

Really great spot right off the parkway for a beer, some trout fishing, good food, ice cream, wine slushies, and live music! The owner was great. We ordered a cider and IPA, both were great. Would happily return with friends! Lots of great local art and merch too.

After a day of visiting Linville Cavern and Falls, it was refreshing to find a place like Banks Creek Barn. They had a smoker at the entrance with good signage directing you to the restaurant. It was a bit of a drive back to the site, but well worth it! The hospitality and family friendliness makes us want to return next time we are in the area. Our party of folks ordered the pulled pork sandwiches, burger, briscut tacos, and shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious with good portions. Also there was plenty of seating (outside) when we went. They also have a stocked trout farm for fishing.

Terrible experience! Our order was lost so we were waiting until we checked and found out it was messed up. Food is tasteless and expensive
