Found this place "by accident" when we were driving to Linville Caverns. They had set up a smoker up just off the road and the smell lured us in.You drive along a gravel drive back off the road for a short bit and the scene opens up to a beautiful setting of the "barn" and decks and ponds. It's absolutely gorgeous! There was a group of 12 of us and we all grabbed beers and walked around and explored the space. Very relaxing. Then we made our way back to order lunch and, between the 12 of us, we ordered about half the menu.If you order trout, you can either go catch it yourself (HOW FUN!!) or have them catch one for you. The trout is cooked simply (which is the best way to treat super fresh quality ingredients) and it may have been the best trout i've ever had. We had three of them for our group and everybody raved about it. Definitely the STAR of the menu. The hushpuppies and fries that came with it? Eh. They both needed to be cooked more. Fries were not very hot and no crisp to them at all (flavor was good). The hushpuppies had no crisp to them at all and were a bit soggy on bottom where they had soaked up moisture from the fries or the fish. The BBQ pork was top notch. Several of us got it as part of the meat lovers basket and we all agreed it was great but I think i'd get it as a sandwich next time and skip the meat lovers basket because, while the flavors were spot on, the rest of the meats (wings, ribs, brisket) were on the tough/chewy side. Good... but not great. Also of note was the pimento cheese app. Pretty darned good. The staff was a mix of owners and family and they were all SUPER! Great folks. Fun to talk to.We will be going back when we are in the area.

This is by far one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to. Local taps, smoker with brisket and bbq plus a trout pond to fish while you enjoy a draft. Bait and tackle provided. You can also have them cook your catch. Plenty of outdoor seating and room for kids to play. This place is a must visit.

Lannie Dean Carter Jr aka Sonny Carter who previously owned Sonny's Grill in Greer SC, where he received a 64% kitchen rating from the BOH, he was evicted from this business, his cross-contamination practices are horrendous in every kitchen he works and his food truck Sonny's Grill on Main and others, he has evaded taxes, not paid his employees, was recently charged penalty fees from the NCDOL, tried to break the law to illegally open a local restaurant, stole their kitchen equipment, and made Anti-semitic comments just 5 months ago is working here! I warned Aaron Banks of all this, but obviously he doesn't care about his guests getting ill or worse with this disgusting person touching the food and being associated with this venue! I'm calling the NCDOH. Sad, because this was a great venue to visit and refer people to, but no more.

Came when they first opened couple years ago. Knew it was gonna be cool place! They have done lots to the property since then. Serving local brews and wines. Also serving some good BBQ! The porch is nice to chill and watch the kids enjoy trout fishing. Owners are nice as can be. Wish they'd play some local mountain/bluegrass/ easy music rather than hard to meh rock. Am sure they are not even aware, and this is not a negative hit on them. We are just old souls with regard to music. It can make or break a spot for us. This one still wins in our opinion! It's beautiful here.

On a girlfriend's weekend we stopped on a whim & we were surprised how much was inside. The owner made us Chill Billy Pina Coldas that were wonderful. The cider on tap was great & the owner sat with us & told us all about the area. It was a great time & we enjoyed our visit & drinks.

Fishing is great they provide all the gear and even clean the fish for you. Stop by if you want to have a great time with your family!

I was excited to check this place out. Hubby & I struggled up the narrow single lane dirt road that could use some grading. The property was cute & rustic with lots of assorted outdoor & porch seating. $21 for a beer & a watery sangria was excessive I thought & the pulled pork sandwich I saw go by was not impressive. Not a place I will return to.

I am not sure how I found them on Facebook, but I am so glad we did as we visited today and this is a hidden gem. The people working there were so kind!!! We brought a picnic with us, but we love to buy local so we bought some drinks from them. After lunch we went to the creek and my puppy had the best time! People were at the trout pond catching a lot of fish. We will definitely come back here again the next time we are in the area.
