Lovely BBQ and country store! The food was great (and my picky toddler wolfed down the baked beans and pork sandwich). We will certainly stop here again.
Love the food and staff! We go at least once a week, one of our favorite local go to places♥️
Amazing food, customer service, and atmosphere.
My friend & I stopped here on our last day in the mountains. The staff was attentive & friendly, the store, as well as the art studio, & amphitheater on the same property are all very nice. We warmed up with a mug of their delicious apple cider & sat for a while enjoying the music of Randy Gambill & Wes Tuttle. We purchased a few souvenirs, they have t-shirts, local honey, jams, & even some handmade pottery pieces. We had unfortunately already eaten but the food at the tables around us looked very good. We plan to visit again.
Great food and music
I wish I had pictures of our food. We got 2 chicken plates. Our sides consisted of Mac & cheese, baked beans, collard greens and we got a fried okra basket. It was delicious. It honestly exceeded our expectations. The baked beans are a must try. & the sauces were amazing. The lady at the register was just so kind to us. She knows her costumers because she definitely knew we’re not from this area. I’m glad we tried this spot.
We have enjoyed coming here for approximately 22 years but recently they are using pager systems for your food orders that are beeping all over the restaurant that take away from the atmosphere, in my opinion. But other than that we love the food and enjoy our visits
The sliders are amazing! Great atmosphere too!
Great old school smokehouse! Is there a barbecue and they're fresh made pork rinds were delicious. I will definitely be returning.
Very unique place!

Stopped in for lunch while staying the weekend in the area on Beech Mountain. We were out exploring the area after a trip to Grandfather Mountain and stumbled upon this little gem! I had a classic BBQ sandwich with baked beans and my husband had the wings, all delicious! They even had a small bar to the side as well, a gift shop and an art gallery in a separate building to the side. They also had a blacksmith on site that also had classes you could sign up for!
A Old country store with live music and great dryrub chicken wings. Near grandfather mountain.
Really good BBQ, the cherry sweet fires are awesome. Highly recommend.
Stopped in for dinner on a ln early fall Saturday evening. Upon arriving, we were immediately informed that they would have live music inside that evening (due to rain earlier, it was moved inside) but if we wanted a quieter dinner we were welcome to choose a seat outside on the covered porch. I was impressed straight away by their attention to making sure we had the experience we wanted, whether that was listening to live music or having a quieter dinner.
You order at the counter and are given a pager to let you know when to come back and pick up your food. So while there are no servers, we found the staff at the counter to be very helpful and attentive.
All of our group ordered the pulled pork, which I found to be good. Their vinegar-based sauce (they have a couple of different options) I found to be good, though I would have preferred something a bit more on the acidic side. Sides were also quite good. The collard greens were particularly exceptional.
First time I have eaten there. But I have been there many times. I will tell you the barbecue overall was probably a three out of five.It wasn't phenomenal fantastic, but it was good, honest, smoked barbecue.I would recommend stopping here. It was a little pricey for the quantity/quantity. But the atmosphere location and live music made it a real treat.
