If you are reading this and you are traveling through like we were.. stop here or you will regret it. WOW. Amazing ! My husband is picky about BBQ and we pulled up and the drive thru was almost to the road. We went inside to eat, love the mom and pop look to the place. Made me and my little family ( 20 month old) feel like we were at home. Fried chicken, brisket, and all the sides were delicious! The bathrooms were so clean and the staff was efficient but friendly. The line inside moved faster than any McDonalds I have been to. 10/10

Goodness gracious I love this place. They got the best food in the area and I always leave full of happiness. I swear they put something in this food to make you feel joy!! Never have anything bad to say about this place. So so so so SO yummy!!! You better ask them about that broccoli salad because it is mouthwateringly delicious 🤤🤤🤤
I was on a quest like Don Quixote, the Man of La Macha. What was your quest you ask? I am glad you asked, for I shall tell. The quest was to find a great and authentic North Carolina Style barbeque restaurant. My quest was realized when I went to Johnny’s Barbeque in Louisburg. Every staff member gave me phenomenal customer service that was friendly, accurate and efficient. The chicken is fresh, juicy, and delicious. The barbeque is authentic, tasty, and desirable. They also serve Cheerwine, my favorite soda as opposed to what I used to say “pop” in Illinois. Illinois, the land of Lincoln. Where the corn is knee high by the fourth of July. Where the children are knee high to a grasshopper. Where the hamburgers are served with everything on them. This is contrary to how you order a hamburger in Kentucky where you order it dressed or through the garden. This is different in North Carolina where you the cute waitress asks, “Do you want it all the way?” First time I heard that when I arrived from Illinois, I thought, “I heard southern hospitality was great, but not that great.” I am sorry. I have digressed. Where was I. Oh yeah. Johnny’s barbeque in Louisburg. There is only one bad note. I have a big bulbous belly which I am trying to shrink. Therefore, I cannot go to Johnny’s Barbeque in Louisburg as often as I would like. Accomplish your quest to find a great authentic North Carolina barbeque restaurant by going to Johnny’s Barbeque in Louisburg.

Thank you Johnny's for my take home experience for last Memorial Day. I pre-ordered 1 small pan of Barbecue and 1 quart of their famous Cole Slaw. I picked up on Saturday and served Sunday before Memorial Day. The best food ever. A special thank you to Missy who took my order and sent me home so HAPPY. My family and friends so enjoyed. Next time I will.come in for a sit down meal. Also will.be ordering for this 4th of July. Look for my call Missy. Best food ever!! Thank you so much and thanks to Dunston family for recommendation. My 1st time there, I walked in got a couple plates. I tasted the bar b que, it was so good, i went to the drive up and got a pound to go.
