Great lil bbq shack! Friendly service, no masks if that bothers you. My party was vaccinated but we wore masks until our food was ready. No issues. Pulled pork and Mac n cheese was divine. Sweet tea perfect. Makes a great lunch stop after leaving the aquarium with kids! We'll stop here again next year.Update: it's 2024, COVID is over, and this lil BBQ shack is still cooking up the good stuff! Once again we visited OBX & spent a rainy day at the aquarium which means we got to stop by this great spot for lunch. The folks are so friendly and accommodating if you have a request. Husband was able to give them some military patches this trip! We love the food and the people! My husband and 2 sons visited this restaurant during our trip to OBX. This was the best meal we had during our trip. Our sons loved the mac and cheese and corn nuggets and the brisket fish were amazing. We will definitely be back!
My 7 year old daughter and I stopped in for an early lunch on our way back home and it was one of the best lunches we have had in a while! My daughter said it was the best fried shrimp ever! The banana pudding was out of this world! Friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere! We can’t wait to go back!
Great little joint!Bar-B-Que was excellent and my boys loved the hamburgers.They also said the french fries were the best they ever had!Definitely give it a try!

The Pork BBQ plate was delicious. The pork was tender, juicy and the right amount of the tangy Carolina BBQ sauce. The Baked Beans were tender, sweet and smoky, and the Collards were tender, juicy and smoky. My wife loved her Pork BBQ sandwich, but the Cole slaw lacked any flavor so she had to add both salt and pepper. My son did not like his Chicken Sandwich because it wasn't shredded, and the meatier parts of the chicken lacked sauce and flavor. The fries were soft and tired looking.Parking: There are lots of parking spaces because the parking lot is pretty big.
Horrible. The chicken is dried out cooked to hell almost grey chicken thighs, that are not shredded or anything to make them palatable. The sauces are just meh, mostly vinegar, the mac n cheese is mediocre at best and the fried items are cooked in dirty oil that leaves a bitter after taste. $73 down the drain. The fried chicken sandwich was thin and over cooked and the bbq chicken sandwich was just a couple hunks of that same dried nasty chicken thigh in big hunks on a roll. That said, the staff was rather friendly. Not much else redeeming about this place.

The food was amazing. The chicken and the pork were both great, we didnt try any of the seafood or the brisket. The beans, smoked mac and cheese, and fries were all world-class.Service and atmosphere was great. they offer a first responder/law enforcement/Mil discount, and politely asked me what branch i served in, etc., then pointed us to the challenge coins and various PD and FD patches around the restaurant.10/10, will absolutely come back and order some seafood and brisket.
