Food was above par- the pork knuckle was tender and smokey, delicious. It's a small dining room, so it was loud and hard to have a conversation. The service was attentive at first, then we were forgotten about. Glad we did stop in, and the town is super adorable.

Cute place, good food, large portions. By far the best place to eat on Roanoke Island

We received awful service; sat outside and had to go inside to order after waitstaff apparently forgot about us.

Great food and service. I highly recommend you try the scotch egg. It was very good. Cant wait to go back. They have a souvenir shop that is worth checking out.

My family and I have visited here a few times in the past year. The service is consistent regardless of how busy they are. The outdoor seating is spacious but cozy and picket fence plus greenery creates a bit of privacy from the sidewalk traffic on busier days. The food is tasty and reasonabliy priced for the portions you receive.

wound up here on Labor day weekend. if there's anything I hate, its an above $40 tab for a shitty experience, and that was this place's offering. stupid waiter practically rushing me and my date to eat, reaching for plates when not finished with our meal. I don't care if you serve me gourmet food made by Gordon Ramsay or an Iron chef, if the service sucks so does the food. will not return ever.

Good food and beer choices, but a bit annoying on the inside with a child running around and playing in the dinning area and behind the bar, very unprofessional. Also they charge 3% more for using a credit card with no notice of such. Wouldn't recommend.

It's advertised as a British restaurant, however, country music was blasting inside and outside so loudly on a Tuesday afternoon that we couldn't hear each other speak. We went outside to a table as far away from the outdoor speaker as possible and then had to fight so many flies, we couldn't finish the meal. Shame, because the shrimp were tasty. But this is just another noisy country bar. Felt more like Houston than London.

There were flies everywhere, chicken in my salad was like rubber, carbonation for the sodas had run out (they replaced), no lemons for the iced tea. Service was ok, atmosphere is fine too.

Classic tourist trap - $23 for fish chips which includes a single piece of fish and a couple of French fries.

Our server was great but the food was definitely a disappointment. For a British themed restaurant (and at the beach) we expected the fish and chips to be spot on. Not so much. It came out a golden brown but was thin, soggy and greasy. One person at my table didn't even eat it and the one that did is paying for it today. At over $20 a plate for fried fish with fries I expected more.

This place was just ok. Kids liked their burgers. The name and location were historical. I probably wouldn't go back .

We just wanted a drink. The restaurant was kind enough to allow table seating for drinks only since the bar was full.

The little downtown area of Manteo is very cozy, and a favorite spot to visit when we come to the outer banks. I finally got around to visiting the Tavern, and wasn't disappointed at all. The location is gorgeous, right next to the Manteo lighthouse and boardwalk on the Sound. The restaurant definitely has the Irish Pub vibes upon entering. The wait staff were all friendly, and the food was awesome. The fish n chips were the best I've had anywhere to date. I really admired how they use whatever the local catch of the day is. Mine was Swordfish, which is a delicious dense fish that was perfect for fish n chips. Being a "beer guy", I also loved the 'Lost Colony Brewery' selections, particularly the Stout which was very reminiscent of Guinness Stout. The loaded chips were also delicious and very filling. Needless to say, I walked in, but waddled out lol. I'll definitely make it a point to come back when I visit the Outer Banks!

London Pub based on modern Lost Colony cuisine. Love it! Bar side pickled eggs, catch if the day fish and chips. I couldn't ask for more. Hotspot for my wife and I every time we are in town.
