I'm pretty sure this is where the townies go to eat a good food super delicious and the hospitality was a 10 out of 10. So if you're on a road trip highly recommend stopping here to get a genuine feel what South Carolina is all about. And definitely try the buffet.
My wife and I ate at The Pier in Marshville NC . We both ordered the flounder dinners that came with a delicious salad bar , choice of potato and hush puppies. The hush puppies were a little disappointing as they were greasy and hard . I had a slight stomach ache later from trying a few of them . Possibly they should let the grease drain off on a paper towel to get rid of the excess grease . That’s my only problem that I had with The Pier Restaurant!

Stopped on our way home from Charlotte. It doesnt look like much on the outside. The building def is older and you can tell its a local haunt by the way the customers seem to know each other. The server was sweet and kept my dads coffee full. They messed up my order but fixed it and I would have normally been upset considering everyone was done by the time my food came out but it was DELICIOUS. I had the broiled flounder and scallops. So good! Even my 11 year old enjoyed it....
