Great service, great food!!!
Nice family run restaurant. Every time I drive back from the beach I stop there for food to go. They have the best biscuits ever, light & fluffy; puts chain restaurant biscuits to shame! Their sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit is the bomb! The breakfast burrito is also very good. If stopping by in the afternoon, I highly recommend the chicken tenders. Nicely seasoned and breaded.

Came in for tenderloin biscuit, was told they didn't have cool, ok so I seen some sausage gravy that was old looking and one scoop from empty, so I asked do you have any sausage gravy coming, I was told that is enough for one order, so the owner gets upset cause I asked for fresh gravy which he told me he had more ready to come out, so why is it a problem for me to have that, so he proceeds to take the old gravy to the back just to give me anyway

The food didn't look good, everything looked like it came from the can to the pan, basically soul food with no soul.

on Sunday right before noon. only family in the place. The special board had items that they did not even have. Figured out what to eat. Food came and was not hardy warm. no seasoning on anything and cold sausage and gravy biscuits. I tried I do not recommend and I feel I do not have to support this local business.
It's a small town restaurant. Most of the food is made there. The staff has always been friendly.

I've only been here once. I got a hotdog with chili and the best butter pecan milkshake I've ever had. Well, the only one I've ever had but still possibly the best milkshake in general, that I've ever had. The hot dog was pretty good too. The chili was a little sweet I didn't love that but overall it was really good. I'd definitely go here again

Restaurantji Recommends
Sadly the name is misleading. I thought they would have fresh breads, meats, cheeses, and veggies. Maybe homemade southern food like collards, potato salad, casseroles, etc. I found that it's more like bar food. Everything was frozen and dropped into a fryer, oven, or microwave.

Highly recommend!!! The shrimp, chicken and dumplings, cabbage and Philly cheese steak: out of this world!!
Shrimp platter with cabbage, chicken and dumplings ( chicken and pastry as they call it) served with a warm roll is what I got. My friend got a Philly cheese steak. Can I just tell you everything was amazing. The shrimp: outstanding and the bun on the Philly cheese steak was fresh, soft and perfect. Highly recommend. Service was excellent, served quickly and food was fresh and hot!
