My first visit. My iced coffee I ordered was terrible; however, the bear claw was good. My main turn off was the staff not being friendly or helpful. The atmosphere is nice, very clean, down-to-earth design, and items other than coffee for purchase. More food items would be nice. Parking was limited at the time.

Filament Coffee is such a relaxing hotspot with us locals! Highly recommend. Great selection of coffee/teas! Definitely give it a go. Highly recommend the lavender lemonades my kiddos love it!
Only reason I give it a 2 star is because the salted caramel cookie was awesome. Other than that the people behind making the coffees were not friendly and the drinks were not great at all.

They use cleaning spray that you can smell clearly every time I've been there. It's great to be clean, but it's overbearing and clearly the vapor is getting in the drinks/food by default. It's the worst when they're spraying the tables, but it's noticeable regardless. Hopefully it's safe to consume 😳

I've been here a few times but and the coffee has been subpar at best. Gave it another try on Saturday and I also ordered one of the “Oatmeal Raisin Cream Pies.” Most modern businesses note if there are nuts in a pastry item- especially when they have taken the time to write such a long name to advertise their pastry. I typically ask but figured “who puts nuts in an oatmeal raisin cream pie?”
My son took one bite and I saw the nut and gasp - to which he spit out what he had in his mouth immediately. I walked up to the desk and asked the lady working who had just rang us up - “do these have nuts?! Its not listed on there and he has an allergy to walnuts!” She pulls out a sheet from below the counter and sure enough it was walnuts. By this point I'm shaking because we may have to use his epi-pen. The lady shrugs and says “sorry,” and goes on about making another drink. What bothers me the most is the lack of care first, not offering a refund second and third not having it listed in the first place.
Terrible customer service or concern.

I went recently to Filament and had the best experience with Adrienne. She made a great smoothie and was very friendly and kind. I’ll be back when Adrienne is there for sure!

Great pastry options from 9th street bakery in Durham & coffee is top tier,
they get their coffee locally from counter culture in Durham as well.
They also sell bags of coffee to brew at your house & they will grind the beans for you free of charge! I tried the iced butter-beer latte they make all syrups in house & they make and sell them in their store front as well!
Such a great spot to meet with friends and hangout!
