Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

Use to love it. Now the food has become meh at best.

6.11.25 approx. 12 noon and no it wasn't slam packed. Greeted when we walked in and waitress was nice and got our drinks right away. Styrofoam cups are really sticky and feel unsanitary. 2 more tables were taken by customers that came in after us and after we had placed our order. We watched both of those tables get their food before us. At that point we were done and got up to complain and leave. Waitress told us ours is coming up next, but the cook was cooking anything. My wife asked if he was the manager and he said no and pointed to a female behind the counter. She looked down at the counter and said or did absolutely nothing. Then we were charged almost $5 by the cook for 2 drinks that we left on the table. He wasn't without some smart remarks. This is the 2nd time this has happened. There were different staff working the 1st time. This place used to be good, now it's nothing but a joke. Never again. I'll warn as many people as possible. Looks like it's time to fire everyone and restaff this place again. Hope they all read this.

Wasn't clean? they told us to sit down anywhere we liked.We took a table and it was wet under the table and the table it self was dirty we had to ask to get it clean. When the food arrived the bread on the burgers were soggy and they literally only gave us twelve fries. The lady there said she didn't want to make ranch so she said there wasn't any

A big step up from fast food and not as pricey as most restaurants. Food came out fast and hot. Super delicious!!
I'd recommend the Carolina Classic if you love chill and onions!

Great Burgers and ice cream, great service and is very quiet and comfortable with the nice background music.
I really hope that more people support great places like you this one.

This was our first time having HWY 55. Overall, we really like it and will probably have it again in the future. My husband got the shrimp po’boy sandwich. He was really happy with it. I got a cheesesteak and it was really good. I couldn’t finish it, so my husband did. He liked it even more than the shrimp sandwich. My son liked his burger and fries. My daughter thought her chicken tenders were dry, but she still ate them.

Awesome burgers and fries, excellent frozen custard, and the real stars of this location are the crew! We were first time visitors, and were greeted as soon as we entered, Tracey was our server, and he was so friendly, helpful, and professional! Food was hot, fresh, and flavorful, the cooks have mad skills! Thank you all for a wonderful experience, we will be back soon! *Note to manager: You’ve got an awesome crew here, take good care of them, what a great crew! Y’all can be very proud!

First time we have ever been to this location! May I say it was phenomenal! Food was amazing & customer service was even better! Everyone there was so nice and personal if you’re going to a highway 55 this the one! 100/10

Highway 55 is a Throw back diner with a extensive menu with hot dogs hamburgers ice cream milkshake A variety of different types of foods for everyone.
Come in sit down and enjoy

Chicken tenders were absolutely delicious grilled to perfection juicy and I don’t think anyone can eat all six. The onion rings were Chris not greasy and the service was excellent.… This is definitely a need to try
