It’s now a family tradition to get themed birthday cookies instead of cup cakes and cakes and let me tell you Lou’s does a great time every time. Not only do they come out adorable but the kids love them!

We've been here a few times now, everything has been delicious. We love the guy who works Saturday mornings. The prices are very reasonable. It feels very homey. There is a bit of a lip to get into the café, so a person in a wheelchair may have slight difficulty entering by themselves, but I think it is still considered accessible because it is not a step; a person can still enter, just with a little help. Restrooms are gendered, single stall, and accessible.

Lexie made a unique cake for a birthday party and hand-piped sunflowers on it. Not only was it gorgeous, it was also delicious! I highly recommend using Lou's Bakery because Lexie is so easy to work with, she replies to emails quickly, and the finished product is amazing! My friend was absolutely delighted! Thank you, Lexie!

Unfortunately the Red Velvet birthday cake I ordered from Lou's for my Birthday Party was BURNT under all the icing. It was so dry, tasteless and burnt that we couldn't eat it. It was really embarrassing as I invited 20 other people to my party. I did email them about it afterwards and didn't get a peep back from them, least of all, an apology. So, I will not be supporting them any time soon. I cant, in all honesty, recommend them to anybody.🤢

Best hot chocolate! Not too sweet. Cream puff was perfection. Buttercream is delicious.
Picked up a scone and a croissant to go from this pleasant shop. Had really great service for my small to-go order. Servings are large! I heated them the next day and found the croissant to be QUITE good but the scone was pretty bland. That was a little disappointing. Would like to come back and try some other items!

We just had our wedding on the 17th and had the best experience with Lou's Bakery. We loved the cake at our taste testing and guests complimented how good it was at the wedding. Recommend for any events!! 10/10

We have loved everything we’ve tried from Lou’s! The cold brew is delicious, and all the baked goods have been happily approved by my family. I have celiac and I am so happy there is usually at least one, but most often several, gluten free items to try! The gentleman who usually works the counter is always so kind and helpful!
Dietary restrictions: I know they at least have a few gluten free options! Not too sure about other allergies- but the gluten free is always AMAZING.
Parking: It’s downtown Mebane, so there is plenty of street parking available right around Lou’s.
Kid-friendliness: A large space for kids to hangout and a small kids table for kiddos to sit and color!
