After I saw a WRAL's Tarheel Traveler special highlighting this restaurant, I told my husband a road trip was in our future. It was worth every mile travelled. The food was delicious, and the owners were solicitous. I didn't save room for cake, but I will ask to go for my birthday. I can't wait to go back.

Food needed seasoning and the man wasn't wearing gloves while cooking the food too many flies in the place. I watched flies land on a costomers to go plates and on their food🤢🤮

Food that I we got was great. I will get my cream taters in separate container next time. I cant wait to try fish and burgers. Everything look so good but what i ate was great. People were very nice and down home country folks like myself. Not far from home but worth every mile either way. They were very busy this Sunday but they had a party going on too. Will definitely be back.

Let me tell ya'll. Whew-wee. My sister told me about this place and man.... it.... is....worth it.
My wife and I went there today, as soon as we got out the car, I knew right then by the aroma the food was going to be good.... AND IT IS. Good size portions too. It is well worth the trip down to Stancil's. You will not be disappointed. 👍 Got my belly full and bout to go to sleep.

This is a soul food restaurant. Food is delicious but service is slow bc they are always busy. They rarely answer the phone so calling in your order is not really an option.

Omg, I haven't had food this good since my grandma passed! Full of flavor and huge portions! Not to mention, everyone was extremely friendly and made us feel like family. We will definitely be back again!

I got a double bacon cheeseburger, large fries, and mac n cheese. The people were lovely, funny, and friendly! The food was great! Tall, thick, juicy burger patties, lots of bacon, grilled onions, and an extra bun in the middle. It was a lot of food for the money. The fries are thick crinkle cut, seasoned very well, and fried very crispy - best fries I've ever had! I would go back just for the fries. The mac n cheese was gooey, cheesy, and delicious. I shared the meal with my toddler and he gobbled up every bite. He's normally a little picky with burgers, but he really liked this one. I'll plan to be back soon!

My family and I go here when we visit from out of town, the employees are some of the nicest people we have met there. The food is absolutely amazing and definitely one of our favorite places to go. The ladies at the counter are always so pleasant and helpful, they have a lot to choose from and they always serve with a smile. I definitely can’t say enough about this place!!
