My friend and I came here for the first time the other day and it was so delicious! I got a bacon burger and Fried okra and the okra was so hot and tasty it got to me! The lemonade is also refreshing and not overly sweet. We got some cake as well and it was so fluffy and delicious!! Can't wait to come back! Friend got the Mac and it was THE taste of home cooking. The staff was so sweet and considerate. I enjoyed having my small talk with them!

I can’t say enough about this wonderful family owned restaurant. When the 94yr old mother and 70something son are there cooking and interacting with the customers you know it’s going to be good. The Best banana pudding I’ve had in years! I had the hamburger steak with rice, gravy, And Lima beans. I couldn’t eat it all The portion was huge. My husband was thrilled to eat the rest later. I had a great conversation with the owner. I wish it wasn’t 30 minutes away from me but I will definitely be back.

After I saw a WRAL's Tarheel Traveler special highlighting this restaurant, I told my husband a road trip was in our future. It was worth every mile travelled. The food was delicious, and the owners were solicitous. I didn't save room for cake, but I will ask to go for my birthday. I can't wait to go back.

Food needed seasoning and the man wasn't wearing gloves while cooking the food too many flies in the place. I watched flies land on a costomers to go plates and on their food🤢🤮

Food that I we got was great. I will get my cream taters in separate container next time. I cant wait to try fish and burgers. Everything look so good but what i ate was great. People were very nice and down home country folks like myself. Not far from home but worth every mile either way. They were very busy this Sunday but they had a party going on too. Will definitely be back.

Let me tell ya'll. Whew-wee. My sister told me about this place and man.... it.... is....worth it.
My wife and I went there today, as soon as we got out the car, I knew right then by the aroma the food was going to be good.... AND IT IS. Good size portions too. It is well worth the trip down to Stancil's. You will not be disappointed. 👍 Got my belly full and bout to go to sleep.
