Run, don't walk, to Stancil's Lounge! Food was amazing! Fried chicken, mac and cheese, fries, humongous hush puppies, and the sweet tea is just like grandma made it. A hidden gem, for sure.
A friend took us here a few weeks ago. Talk about an unknown (at least to me) great soul food country kitchen we were amazed at the food quality, preparation and taste. The owners were extremely friendly and came out to greet us since it was our 1st time there. The lunchtime crowd was steady and seemed that no one minded waiting for their food to be cooked to order. We will definitely be back.
The food was delicious. Staff were professional and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant. It is located outside of Middlesex off Highway 231. It was worth the drive.
