My friend and I came here for the first time the other day and it was so delicious! I got a bacon burger and Fried okra and the okra was so hot and tasty it got to me! The lemonade is also refreshing and not overly sweet. We got some cake as well and it was so fluffy and delicious!! Can't wait to come back! Friend got the Mac and it was THE taste of home cooking. The staff was so sweet and considerate. I enjoyed having my small talk with them!
I can’t say enough about this wonderful family owned restaurant. When the 94yr old mother and 70something son are there cooking and interacting with the customers you know it’s going to be good.

After I saw a WRAL's Tarheel Traveler special highlighting this restaurant, I told my husband a road trip was in our future. It was worth every mile travelled. The food was delicious, and the owners were solicitous. I didn't save room for cake, but I will ask to go for my birthday. I can't wait to go back.
