Food was incredible. I got the double bacon cheeseburger and my son got the New York strip steak. Excellent!! Staff was great as well.

We ordered two blackened chicken clubs with a side for each sandwich and they charged us 49.00 we called about it and said that they were sorry and told us to come back and they gave us a 10.00 bill!!! Sooo apparently 2 sandwiches and 2 sides is about 40.00 there thats insane!!

This was our first time at Mad Jax, but there was no disappointment. The restaurant came highly recommended to me from a person in a neighboring town. The food was served hot and fresh and was to us in a reasonable amount of time. While we were waiting we got to know our server a little better. She was quite personable and her customer service was spot on. I will definitely be going back there and will take family and friends when they are here visiting. Oh and by the way when we were leaving there were people lined up for tables. You are better off going for an early dinner. You know it’s a good restaurant when folks are willing to wait to eat.

This past Friday night was our first time. Had heard nothing but good things about Mad Jax. Was very disappointed 😢. There was a large party maybe 25-30 people so over hour wait. Understand but decided to stay and wait. Didn’t think it would be that long. The large party was there about 2 1/2 hours which again we decided to stay. Finally was seated but after we got our drinks was forgotten about admitlingy from waitress and host. So the host took over for the busy waitress. Another waitress brought our meal and asked anything else needed. We informed her we had not got our salad yet. Normally served before main entree? So got salad after starting our steaks. Hate it when that happens. Now!! Without a doubt we will be back. Food was awesome. And we understand that Friday night, large party and simply busy. Our host really went out of her way trying to make it up while multitasking other duties. A for her efforts. It was very busy and we understand. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying the food. We all have moments that are out of one’s control. Nice staff good food deserves another shot. Can’t wait to return.

My son and I went in last night. We were told it would be about 20 minutes witch wasn't a problem. The young lady working to door was doing her best. She said your table is ready. We headed into the dining room and she said I'm so sorry someone who had just walked took your table. She was horrified when I said can I help with this. She said I can clean another table off. Standing there like what the hell is going the young lady said I'm so sorry. The owner/manager said there is no need to apologize to him. Then we were the last ones to be served while they were putting chairs on the tables.

My friend and I was in the area searching for a restaurant.. it had good reviews.. but the beef tips were over cooked.. I asked for medium.. they were way past that leaning more towards well done & very dry and hard to chew Potato & salad were both good My friend ask how many shrimp came with the grilled shrimp.. it was more like an appetizer than a meal.. I almost started to get chicken or fish .. needless to say he said we would not be back..

Have tried calling order in, two different days. They picked up and hung up and wouldn’t answer back. Don’t like going in because it takes so long to get your food.

This is a casual, local restaurant where the fish is fresh and the service is friendly. First time visitors, we tried shrimp, salmon and flounder and all were delicious. Prices are reasonable and service was quick. Definitely will return.

$18 for 10 pieces of shrimp. That were swimming in some kind of salty steak sauce. No where on the menu did it say the GRILLED shrimp would be covered in Worcestershire sauce. I will not be returning. I’ve eaten here a couple times and each time I think, well I’ll give it another chance as family members rave over it. Not anymore. Plus- after watching the waitress use her bare hands to put lemons in the waters - I know I won’t be returning.

The staff, including the manager, was difficult. One of the young women actually found that her “feelings” were part of the conversation. 🙄 Without asking me a thing, the manager was rude. He never apologized for a thing. I wonder where he learned his managerial skills. 🙄 Neither the manager nor the wait staff took any responsibility for the temperature of my food.🙄
When I got home, the hush puppies, captain’s taters, and catfish were woefully over salted and everything was intolerably greasy.
This was never how anyone was treated at the Captain’s Table. My husband swore that that was the best place for a ribeye.
Almost on the Lake is much closer to my home and has much better food.
