Stopped in for a super quick beer and oysters. Fresh and tasty, airport prices to be expected.
This used to be my go-to for tasty food and cold beer before my flight. I went for the grilled shrimp and fresh veg option. Everything was soaked in butter when it arrived and I asked if the shrimp had been fried? clearly it had been tossed in a pan, but I was told it was grilled. Nearly sent it back, not a healthy option as expected!Next time, stick to beers and oysters with a side salad with no dressing. They can’t fail that!
Best place in RDU for hot food, it seems. Agree with prior reviews about service being fast but cramped, with a limited menu—which I’d prefer if done well compared to more variety but food done poorly. Not only was my food fast, but the burger was cooked as ordered with a fresh bun (the bar for airports being that low) and the potato chips that come standard were surprisingly good. Thus far this is the only option I’d return to of the places I’ve tried at RDU.
Had grilled chicken BLT w/out bun and French fries. Chicken was juicy and delicious. Fries were cooked just right.Server was efficient and friendly.
Quick 5:30 AM breakfast at the airport. I needed some thing better than our typical Starbucks breakfast. The garden omelette was better than expected, with the tomatoes and spinach well seasoned. The cheesy grits tasted like Pastina with cheese. (We are from New England, and not familiar with this southern staple.) Coffee was subpar, but necessary. The breakfast sandwich my husband had was on a hamburger roll, and the home fries were unseasoned and were likely frozen, previously. Overall a quick 3.5 star breakfast at the airport.
We had a little bit of time before our flight and were looking for some food, but also wanted to grab a drink. Unfortunately, there weren't too many places that offered drinks so we settled on this location. Fortunately, they were quick to sit us down and the service was relatively quick as well which we appreciated because of the limited time before our flight. We ordered fried oysters and fries. The fried oysters were squishy and questionable at best - the remoulade that came with the oysters was pretty good and the fries were okay. The menu is very limited so there weren't many other options available.
I was greeted fast, and provided with a seat fast. I enjoyed the vibe ,my food was good. My service was excellent. More importantly in my eyes the staff had a really good vibe working with one another. I appreciated seeing happy people around me.
Overall not a fan. Food was overpriced and over cooked. Service was by QR Code and did not acknowledge the order was placed.
Just had the best experience at 42nd Oyster Street Bar at the airport (yes, the airport). The place was packed and they still seated us and served us right away. You can order straight from your phone via a QR code but the server got here before I could order. Everything was delicious. Raw oysters, crab cake sandwich, chicken tenders for the kiddo. Server went above and beyond (my daughter asked for extra cheese and she came back with a CUP of cheese!). Easy to pay via the QR code and hop over to your gate.
We stopped here for breakfast. Glad to have a spot to sit and have coffee. Coffee was bitter. Food was OK. Price as expected for airport food. Staff was nice but not very attentive.

The menu is very limited. I wish they had the baked oysters like the restaurant in Raleigh. The customer service sucks, they’re not rude but certainly not friendly or welcoming and kind of seems rushed. The food is basic and overpriced. The only nice part of the visit was the gentleman with the locs. He was the hostess and he was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. He set the bar high only for the waitress to kill the enthusiasm.
A less than average airport restaurant. The crab cake is deep fried and dry. The chicken sandwich is another dry burger. Service is ok and the QR code doesn’t accept my credit card
Service is great but food is overpriced and awful. My bisque was mediocre and fried oysters not fully cooked. Oozing egg batter is not very appetizing, to say the least. That's a safety issue, too. Ignore their fancy top ten sign and find something else to eattheir
We had 2 breakfast dishes. Eggs had no flavor. Sausages looked like they came straight out of the freezer. Grits were watery. Coffee tasted sour and I had to ask for a second cup- still tasted sour. Portions were really small for 16$ per plate. I get there is an up charge at the airport but left there still pretty hungry. Avoid, people, avoid.
The chicken BLT I ordered was the most disappointing sandwich I have had in months. The bread was burned, the chicken was dry, there was not even one full slice of bacon, the single slice of tomato was sour and the lettuce was hot. Who toasts the lettuce? Or did they just microwave the thing? Service was quick but utterly inattentive -- I couldn't catch anyone's eye to get my water glass refilled. If you don't interact with them through the app by ordering something, you have no hope of getting any service from them. It's not a restaurant, so much as a vending machine which delivers your purchases to your table. Today was my last meal here.
