Andy's Frozen Custard

Andy’s Custard is the closest ice cream spot to me, so I really want to like it. But,
the value just isn’t there.

Their concrete mixers (similar to a Blizzard) cost over $10, and the amount of toppings you get is shockingly small. It’s basically a pinch of mix-ins, which means you end up eating several bites of plain vanilla custard despite paying a premium price. If I’m spending that much, I shouldn’t be digging around hoping to find a piece of topping.

The custard itself is fine, but at this price point the portions of toppings need to be way more generous. Until that changes, I’ll be going to Dairy Queen just down the road instead, where you actually get what you’re paying for.

I have been there many times mostly with my kids. I know exactly what it should be. But today I stopped by and bought one for myself. The top of waffle cone is soggy which feels it has been soaked in somewhere for a while; the ice cream is tiny, not even close to one scoop what we used to have. It looks like you don’t any food standards or your employees need to be trained well before they serve.

Tried the Apple Pie concrete with the roasted pecans-so good! They blend an entire slice of apple pie into the ice cream...yum! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing!! I love the whole esthetic, the setting of this place. I am sure that everything they make is awesome. My go to is always snowmonster concrete, butter pecan concrete, and their seasonal strawberry shortcake sundae!! Their staff is always friendly as well. Make sure to download the app and check in each time to earn rewards!

Ice cream is absolutely delicious and super creamy! I highly recommend getting the boot daddy concrete. We will definitely be coming back. ❤️🍦
