Ordered through Uber eats. Cancelled 2 mins after placing order. They never refunded my money. The restaurant didn’t even have the decency to call me up and say “hey since your order can’t be refunded we will go ahead and deliver your order” instead they ignore the situation and refuse to refund my money and deliver my order. So ya they stole my money

Once in a bustling town, there existed a renowned dim sum restaurant known for its culinary delights. Word spread far and wide of its exquisite dishes, drawing patrons from distant places. However, appearances can be deceiving, and this establishment was about to reveal its true colors.

One autumn afternoon, an eager connoisseur named Chris decided to embark on a gastronomic adventure, choosing the famed restaurant for her exploration. Chris, with his refined palate and high standards, walked through the dimly lit entrance, his anticipation piqued by the aroma wafting from the kitchen.

As he settled at his table, the ambiance failed to impress. The once-pristine decor was now marred by neglect, and the air carried a hint of mustiness. Undeterred, Chris placed his order, hoping the food would redeem the lackluster atmosphere.

When the dim sum arrived, his expectations were immediately dashed. The dumpling shells crumbled at the slightest touch, while the fillings were dried and unappetizing. The lotus leaf sticky rice emitted an unsettling odor, reminiscent of mothballs. Even the clams and duck were parched, void of their usual succulence. To add insult to injury, the food was served cold.

Chris' heart sank further when he discovered the exorbitant charge of $4.25 for a modest bowl of plain white rice. The service, too, was far from courteous, leaving him feeling unwelcome. His dining experience, meant to be a culinary delight, turned into a profound disappointment.

Reflecting on his experience, Chris vowed never to return to the ill-famed establishment. He thought fondly of the dim sum Asian bistro in Durham, where each visit promised satisfaction and warmth. As he walked out, he resolved to share his story, a cautionary tale for fellow food enthusiasts seeking true culinary joy. From that day forward, Chris' tale of the disappointing dim sum became a whispered warning, guiding others to seek out genuine gastronomic experiences.

And so, Chris returned to her favorite bistro, he trusted haven, where every meal was a testament to the artistry of fine cuisine. The lessons learned from his misadventure only deepened his appreciation for the places that truly celebrated the joy of food.

The dim sum here is very disappointing. Perhaps the only item that was worth eating was the shrimp and chives. The dim sum was dried and the dumpling shell fell apart easily. The lotus leaf sticky rice smelled like moth balls. The clams was dried and so was the duck. Food was cold. They charged us $4.25 for a small bowl of white rice. The atmosphere is not nice and also dirty. The customer service was not polite. I would not order anything here except the chive dumplings. I ordered 8 dim sum dishes and was charged $75 and it was very disappointing. I won’t ever go back here. Go to the dim sum Asian bistro in Durham. It is much better. That is our to go spot. We wanted to try something new…but we won’t come back.

I wish i could rate this place 0 stars but sadly that’s not an option. My group and I had the absolute worst experience here. From the moment we sat down, we were just given food without being given a menu or shown prices of anything. just given food on a table and it was all served with and cut with the same pair of scissors. I personally couldn’t eat anything because of my shellfish allergy and the restaurant didn’t cater to allergies at ALL! I wouldn’t tell my worst enemy to dine here.

Dietary restrictions: If you’re allergic to shellfish i do NOT recommend coming here. all foods were cut with the same pair of silverware and caused so much cross contamination

so basically this was really bad. like, REALLY bad, from the beginning. avoid if you're allergic to shellfish bcs they use the same scissors to cut every dish; cross contamination. never gave us a menu or anything that displayed prices and just started piling dishes on our table that we never ordered. some of these were cold or lukewarm btw. it's a no for me.

DO NOT COME HERE. We had a group of 10 and got scammed. We never got menus and they just overcharged us. Plus we SAW 3 ROACHES by the front door. It’s just a bit weird to me. The food that came out was lukewarm, borderline cold. Some stuff tasted… off? I’ve had food like this before but it just didn’t taste right. Also some stuff like the rice and beef, the rice was so overcooked and just mush. It was disgusting. The wait staff didn’t even give us a chance to get comfortable and find our seats. They kinda just rushed us to give us food and it’s confusing. Also one thing that kinda turned me off from eating was the cross contamination with the scissors cutting the food. If someone was allergic to a shell fish and cut dumplings then that’s something with an allergy or something to food. THATS so weird??!! I don’t really recommend this to anyone

Never again I feel like I’m about to throw up and I got food poisoning. She also asked me for a lagers tip after I gave her one.

I love this place. It's abbot 4-5 minutes from the airport. So it's a great stop over if you are taking someone to the airport. I've been here twice now. And, let me tell you, I will keep coming back! Both times have been excellent food and service. I don't even know the names of the dishes we had. But they are soooo delicious! They are small servings with bite-sized pieces, or slightly larger, to fit in your mouth. This allows you to order multiple dishes and share. Depending on the number of people, we have ordered anywhere from 4-6 dishes. They give you saucer size plates with a fork and chopsticks. Everything is very hot when they bring it out. So, take caution. One last thing, if you are lucky enough to go there when they have pudding, get it! They run out quickly. This is a place I would HIGHLY recommend! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Best true Chinese/Hong Kong food. Now don't expect your corner. Chinese fake buffet food to be here. This is the real deal, so don't come here with some general so chicken type expectation.

First time dining-in here -- nope. Never again. They don't have their AC on in this summer heat. It's hot & uncomfortable inside. When I brought this up to the server, the server just said, "oh coz you're eating hot food." When we're about to leave the place, we saw DimSum House's HVAC unit (which is outside their building) wasn't even turned-on (fan in the AC unit wasn't even moving). If your AC isn't working -- just be honest with your customers or leave the restaurant door open for some air or place portable fans inside. We frequently order pickup/delivery from this place; but definitely not gonna dine-in again.

1 star! Service was almost non. No one check on us,the food was cold. Food too bland and basic for the price. WE DECIDED TO NOT TIP, THOSE STAFF CAME RUNNING OUT OF THE RESTAURANT BEHIND US AND DEMANDED WE TIP, TIPPING IS NOT MANDATORY AND IS TO REWARD FOR GOOD SERVICE non of which was offered. The table was infact dirty.
