I am really disappointed that I only get 5 stars to review! Dinner started with Travis, a thoughtful and knowledgeable waiter who combined sophistication with comfort, a wonderful pairing! The duck was incredibly prepared, the Lotus Root was amazing and the short ribs left us wanting more and more! The Gin Lychee Martini was amazing and the deserts just simply capped off a wonderful dinner. We will be back and you should be too!

Delectable Chinese foods (each bite was like a new perspective on the dish) served absolutely beautifully in a gorgeous art-filled setting and with impeccable supportive service.I recommend going with a group and ordering family style as dishes are large and very sharable.Lunch is very affordable, and you can order dishes off the larger dinner menu if you choose.I cannot wait to return.Vegetarian options: Excellently labeled menu to show which dishes can be made vegetarian (and it's way more than I would have assumed!).Dietary restrictions: Clearly labeled menu and we'll informed wait staff help you navigate this easily.Parking: Many spots around the restaurant.

The service was quick, and the interior was friendly. The Peking Duck had crispy skin, but had little flavor. The quality of the meat itself was good.Other dishes varied between oddly sweet, a little bit too salty, and decently balanced.

Upscale Asian restaurant but more Americanized as they add super to almost everything-tea, salad ?, and sauce! As an Asian person, adding sugar to an elegant pot of high quality tea is ruining it? at least they should ask if customers want sugar or not beforehand. Disappointing! Although customer service is quite good the Peking duck ( pre-order is required) is decent, everything is just too sweet and westernized and no longer authentic. I hope they improve and provide more authentic Asian flavors to customers. Surprising there seem to be quite some Asian people there on a Friday night. Ambience is very nice though

G.58 never disappoints! Beautiful atmosphere, exceptional art pieces, and the best Chinese food you can find. Tried the lobster wontons and crispy short ribs this time and was beyond satisfied. If you haven't already, you must try this place out!

My first impression was that someone put a lot of thought into this place - Interesting art, nice materials, even the name of the place was intriguing. They have a nice wine menu and plenty of unique menu items. With a new place, we always go with suggestions from the staff or unique dishes. Our waiter helped us choose some of the starters and a main to share. Excellent service, artistic atmosphere, incredible and unique gourmet elevated food, outstanding service. For all of this, as you'd expect, the prices are expensive. What a treat! We can't wait to come back and try some more... Especially the Peking duck.

I really enjoyed this place. So you know C/C means "Condition and Cleanliness". I have to be a bit stingy with the stars because 5 isn't a lot to deal with. It's actually the highest I can give it and that is good. My breakdown is and will always be a combined score:1.Everything outside.2.Everything upon entering3. Am I excited by C/C and what I see and smell?4. Staff5. Aesthetics6.Staff7. Head AKA Bathroom C/C8. Ingredients themselves for price.9. Speed10. Plating and food11. ServiceOkay.... C/C all around gets a 5 star. Bathroom was great. I always go to wash my hands right away and see. Plus I touched the front door which was quite clean to the eye. We all know microbes though, so..Nice touch with the name on the good quality napkins. Beautiful art everywhere. It was an eye feast unto itself. This place was not an inexpensive startup. Bar area was a delight to the eye. I saw no dust at all on the horizontal surfaces or items on shelves anywhere. Servers were moving well as a team. Warning: There is a peppery dish that when on its way to a table; wafts through the air to harm the olfactories. Just know that if you decide to bring your small child or you have COPD, Bronchitis or asthma. You could be in trouble.I reserved a Duck dish at resy. It was great. Server sold me on the green beans. Could've used a bit more bacon on them for the price. The Chilean Sea Bass with Spinach infused rice, fantastic! The Molten Cake was very good, not so sure about the quality of the vanilla ice cream. So! Price points for the ingredients a little pricey. Rice and beans cost nothing At the same time, I understand the cost of what I see in a room, so pay the people. The effort and passion is visible and the techniques to produce this food I understand very well. I shall return.Parking: Spaces un-cramped, ample, well lit.

I have ordered delivery from G.58 multiple times since the pandemic, and it is always so absolutely worth it. This is your opportunity to venture out beyond regular takeout Chinese food and experience the versatility of what Chinese cuisine can be. The presentation and taste of the food, even when we get it delivered, are top-notch, and I can not remember a time or a specific dish I was disappointed with while ordering from them. Price is high, but it is deserving of the food they serve! Thanks to the chef and rest of the team for the amazing work you do, and I highly recommend this place!Updating the review to include a few more pictures from a recent in-restaurant fining experience. It is absolutely worth it, and the Peking Duck is a must try!

food is only decent, definitely not fine dining level. hell the quality is still far from restaurant chains like din tai fung.Couldn't get the peking duck cuz we'd have to wait 2 hours as walk-ins so I cant review that (will come back for it later). Had the braised pork belly and from the picture you can see how greasy and fatty the pieces of meat are. In order to avoid this you have to choose pork belly pieces carefully. Clearly for whatever reason the chef didn't do that and we had pieces of pork belly that were 50-70% fat. Obviously that would make the dish too greasy. 2 hours after eating we still can feel the grease down our throat. From the texture and the taste I can tell the chef knows how to cook, but that alone is not enough to charge over $50 for such a greasy dish. The garlic pork spare rib is also forgettable. The only impression I can recall is the annoyance when I had to cut those ribs with a dull butter knife. From those dishes alone I'd say they are only worth $10-20 and that's generous.Service is so so. They made us wait for quite a while before taking order. We had to ask for rice cuz those dishes didnt come with rice (really? the waitershould at least ask us). The only good thing is their leftover packing. Again, definitely not fine dining level service either.I will come back to try the peking duck later since they advertised that their duck is the best in NC. If that's really the case I will bump it up to 3 star.
From the extravagant decorations to the extra friendly service, G.58 will give you an ultimate dining experience. The food is authentic with elegant presentation. G.58 Cuisine brings gourmet Chinese cuisine from China to Raleigh. It puts P. F. Chang’s to shame. For lunch, we ordered Pepper Pork Belly, Stone Pot Chicken, Dry Pot Cauliflower, Garlic Sauce Dragon Eggplant, and Wagyu Fries Rice. Other than the Stone Pot Chicken, everything was amazing! Each dish was simple yet they have so much flavor. I can tell that everything was prepared by highly skilled professional chefs. Pepper Pork Belly was my most favorite dish. The pepper tasted and looked like long horn peppers, it gave just right amount of heat. The pork belly was full of flavor and did not taste greasy at all. Wagyu Beef Fried Rice was delicious, exactly what I was craving for. The meat was very tender. You have to try the Garlic Sauce Dragon Eggplant. This dish will change a person who never had eggplant or dislike eggplant to eggplant lover. A long Asian eggplant was scored and deep fried into the shape of a dragon. The eggplant was crispy outside and soft inside; it melts in your mouth. For dessert, we had Chinese Yams.I will make an effort to come and dine here when I am in the area. Please be aware that the restaurant is fairly expensive.Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options to choose from on the menu.Kid-friendliness: I saw families with small children. Even though I am not sure if they have a kids menu, but I don’t believe it should be an issue. Since the meal should be shared in family style.Parking: There were plenty of parking spaces available.Wheelchair accessibility: There were handicapped parking by the restaurant. Wheelchair accessible entrance.Dietary restrictions: Let your waiter know about your dietary restrictions, I am sure the chef to compensate your needs.

We saw a tik tok and decided to try. Got a reservation and went. In my opinion, I think it's overpriced but the food was pretty good. I won't complain about that. The star may have been crispy short ribs (appetizer) . They were tasty! The service was...meh...had to get another server to go ahead and take our orders since our main waiter was doing... something somewhere else. He eventually came and was "better". Overall, I enjoyed myself.

Very delicious. Loved the dragon eggplant, bursting with flavor. The Szechuan chicken was also good. Don’t miss out on a mocktail as well.

The best and most authentic Peking duck in the United States! I’m from Beijing and I eat Peking duck since I was a kid. I haven’t found any restaurant that can cook Peking duck like the restaurant in my hometown until I found g.58. I come to g.58 every month because the food is very authentic, high standard and the restaurant ambience is just excellent. Love and recommend this place!
