Raleigh-Durham International Airport

I am proud of my local international airport RDU. It is growing in leaps and bounds meeting the needs of the state of North Carolina and the Country. Keeping up with aviation safety standards is at the top of my list followed by customer satisfaction, service and growing number of available destinations both international and domestic. I happen to live near the airport and on my walks when I see an airplane coming for landing I wave a welcome home so should anyone onboard an incoming flight sees a person waving that might just be me, welcoming you back home from your travels!

Both arriving at and departing from RDU was a breeze, especially compared to the dreadful experience at JFK. Going through security went relatively smooth and check-in was a breeze with no queues. I did not habe to wait long for my suitcase at the carousel and both pick up and drop off is easy.

Easy to get to where you need to go. Everything is labeled and it would be hard to get lost. Nice little restaurants and stores.

I usually fly into the terminal where Southwest is served. It was modernized several years ago and has held up well. The restrooms are clean and there are solid if not varied, food options.

Easy to navigate through and they keep the bathrooms clean. The workers are generally nice. Will probably always use this airport when flying internationally

TSA Precheck is the ticket! Best $$$$ spent

Traffic is horrible, poorly designed roads in and out, pedestrian traffic has to cross congested roads, airport grew faster than they could keep up with logistics of getting in and out.

Friendly TSA and Airport Staff

Small but functional airport, and probably the best in the US in its tier.
Very well maintained and in need of an expansion due to the ridiculous growth of the area.
Always enjoyed some of the food options, infrastructure, and amenities here.
Baggage claim efficiency can be improved (bags can take a while to pop out), so travel light if you can.

Parking is a disaster and very expensive 😫

All the outlets don't hold the plugs used to charge mobile devices. And this Delta Air employee is all about ignoring people as he socializes with his friends. He is also smug and sarcastic. And why do the boarding passes not print the departure gate?

Smooth sailing! Easy flight no delays

One of the best airports I’ve been.

One of the nicer airports I've been to, excellent selection of restaurants and bars... only thing I can complain about is that it's always at least a half hour after deplaning that luggage even begins to come out. (Every time)
