Back again for tofu drunken noodles.
As a Thai person, this restaurant is very closed to Thailand except I think it's better...lol....I asked for 3 star spicy...hit my spot...yummy...I would recommend all day all 🌙 night.

Delicious green papaya salad and cashew chicken! Very similar to the better ones we had in Thailand.

Delicious authentic Thai food. My favorite Thai restaurant that serves yummier food than most in bay area.

Thai 54 has been my top tier choice when it comes to authentic Thai food. I can remember when they were moving from H Mart (International Market). I highly recommend trying any of the dishes here, but the Red Curry is my favorite. It’s your choice of vegetables, chicken, beef or shrimp.
They have always been very pleasant people. They are very polite (greeting all of their customers). The food is fresh and amazing, please take the time to treat yourself. The bathrooms have always been clean.

Lol...
First: the price is ridiculous. With taxes, on average is $18 per entre.
Was $55 for 3 things. And the fact that they include 20% tip on online order until you take it off lol.
Second:
Got the Tom Yum soup tofu. Just spicy and bland. The panang curry had 0 peanuts. The most watery curry I've ever had. The problem is the cabage they put in there just to give it a texture i presume. But a bad decision. And they put cabbage in everything.
The drunken noodle had a weird taste. Doesn't taste like drunken noodle.
All in all, I do not recommend.

We ordered papaya salad, pad see ew and drunken noodles. The raw papaya salad was stale. The entrees had no umami, it felt like veggies and noodles were half heartedly tossed in a store bought sauce. At my home, I cook better with Lee kum kee stir fry sauce.
Avoid!
Edit after restaurant’s response:
1. We dined in, we didn’t order takeout.
2. We ordered from the vegetarian section of the menu, confirmed it thrice from the server, and if you still fed us fermented fish sauce, god help you and your business.
3. Assuming wrong details about the customer and not being customer friendly will not help your small business, irrespective of how or what I choose to say.
This is not a rant, it’s to help other Thai food lovers(and vegetarians) to choose better.

Did you know Thai 54 offers several vegan options right off the regular menu? The staff is always kind, welcoming, and super accommodating. They’re happy to make our favorite dishes, like the Massaman Curry, and they do an incredible basil chicken with a fried egg on top. We order all the time and honestly can’t get enough. We love your food!
