I used to eat here a couple of times a week for about six months, and during that time, the food was consistently good. The Hispanic man who owns the place genuinely cares about the quality of the food being served. However, after a while, I started noticing new faces working there, including the owner’s wife. When she is working, her primary concern seems to be getting orders in and out quickly, not the quality of the food. The food does not taste the same when she is there, and her customer service is very poor. Customer service is king when serving the public, and this was clearly lacking. On 12/11/25, I ordered a smothered pork chop dinner. The pork chops were extremely tough—I couldn’t even bite into them. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the owner, but the person who answered the phone refused to let me talk to him, saying he was busy. She also would not allow me to speak to the wife. Instead, I could hear the wife relaying a message through the employee, telling me to take a picture of the food and bring it back the next time I came in so the meal could be replaced. I returned on 12/27/25 to have my meal replaced, but the Hispanic man working the drive-through told me there were no notes or records indicating that my order was supposed to be replaced. Due to this experience, I will not be returning.

Absolutely Delicious! A Hidden Gem!
Chicken Bucket blew me away! This is our 2nd time here and it didn't disappoint! The portions are huge, the fried chicken is cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside—and the sides taste just like true Southern comfort food. The mac & cheese was creamy and rich, the fried okra was seasoned just right, and those soft dinner rolls were the perfect finishing touch.
We ordered one of the chicken plates and were honestly shocked at how much food we got for the price. Everything came out hot and fresh. The staff was friendly, fast, and kept the place clean, even during a busy lunch rush.
The menu is packed with options, the weekly specials are a great value, and you can tell this is a spot locals love. If you want generous portions, homestyle cooking, and consistently great flavor, Chicken Bucket is absolutely worth the stop.

This place was good at one point. It took forever to get my food. The chicken tasted like wood and it was hard as rock. They shorted me on my order and it was too expensive to not verify my order before giving it to me. The blue cheese with my wings was expired. Poor quality and service.

I walked in expecting “local chicken,” I walked out questioning my entire relationship with KFC.
The chicken here is stupid good — crispy, juicy, seasoned like somebody’s grandma has a PhD in flavor. KFC tastes like hospital food next to this.
Fries were solid, service was friendly, and my only complaint is I don’t live closer. If you’re thinking about it, stop thinking and just go — your taste buds will file a formal complaint if you don’t. 🍗🔥

The drive thru ordering is a problem people drive up and order and then wait in line for their food. This food isn't fast food! It takes time to provide most of the items. Chicken Bucket has pretty good food and the Chicken is really good. The Chicken Bucket is creating their own problems with getting people served because of the drive up ordering. I always call my order in but wait on these drive up orderers sometimes until my food is cold. The facility is hardly big enough for a restaurant and then you include the drive up ordering. You need to take that order station down and use the drive through for call ins only if people want to order there let them come inside and order to go or eat there. I used to frequent this restaurant a lot more than I do now just because it's a cluster to get thru the drive thru!

I used the drive thru, the owner is always pleasant. The food is always made to order tasting the exact same way every time ( delicious). Everyone seems to work together. The drive through will pull you up that’s because food is made to order.
Good food at a fair price. Wide menu variety. Jumbo CB and fries today.
