We're always looking for great BBQ, and this place is the best yet! Everything from the smoked salt and pepper wings, "Cue bano" sandwich, macaroni and cheese, enormous ribs and even the coleslaw were top notch! My daughter got the kids chicken tenders - and they were legit. These aren't the default chicken tenders on every kids meal, but actually brined and seasoned chicken, yum! She finished her plate.
OMG the pickles too! They come with each plate and they're a perfect palate cleanser after the rich and delicious meat!
I'm excited to go back and try more of their menu, along with whatever weekly live fire specials they dream up.

We had the Brunswick stew with corn bread, tomato pie, the beet salad & their Kölsch beer. Everything was so good. It’s like eating from granny’s kitchen, if my granny also served good beer.

Food was really good but not perfect. The cornbread was the only thing we ordered that I was meh on. Everything else was great (pulled pork, brisket, fries, Mac n cheese). They also offer more than one vegetarian dish, which is a pleasant surprise.
Absolutely LOVED the fact that both the women's AND men's bathrooms had various size diapers stocked by the changing tables. Finally a place that recognizes Dads also change diapers!
Vegetarian options: Tofu ribs, shroom burger, and a cauliflower based entree that I can't recall at the moment.
Kid-friendliness: They had a kids menu with corn dogs, chicken tenders, etc. Changing tables in BOTH bathrooms stocked with diapers!

Waitress was amazing...dont think we got a name but when my husband asked for a beer they no longer carried she asked him his preference and then brought one she thought he would like...and he loved it...the food was amazing...I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was tender and juicy and the slw on it with the BBQ sauce was the perfect combination...Definitely suggest taking a trip just to experience, they have outside seating right next to the creek or river that is close...
Had lunch here after a visit to the distillery next door. Very friendly and the food was great. I liked the sauces that accompanied the BBQ.

Great people and great food in a really cool space (renovated historic fire station alongside Dutchman's Creek). Get the sampler platter and try a mix of stuff - brisket and chicken are my favorites of the meats. Collards and mac & cheese are my favorites of the sides (want to go back and try smoked tomato pie too). All the sauces are amazing (get them on the side so you can sample the different sauces/meats together. Wings are solid as well (both the chicken and cauliflower varieties) - recommend sauces on side for these too.
The place has potential but the food is very average, beer list is limiting. The bar stools are low so sitting at the bar is weird. Hope they can fix the issues.
