Great new place for me, my wife as well aswell as my two Boxers. That's right, this place is Pet Friendly. Great food, the boiled peanuts is a must!!! Unlike any I have EVER had. Tori, our wait person, was absolutely delightful. Very helpful and accommodating. A must go for a relaxing afternoon by the stream.

We have had takeout from here about 10 times. Disappointed tonight. We ordered Brunswick stew and 2 bbq sandwiches with baked beans. First time having their Brunswick stew. It was soupy and greasy. Even though we were told to be careful because bbq sauce containers did not have lids, there was no bbq sauce at all. Stingy with cole slaw on sandwich. Beans were great.

Excellent food and a fun and friendly atmosphere, I had the Mac and cheese and pulled pork and it was some of the best BBQ I've ever had!

Never had a bad meal or a bad drink here. Everything is always on point and packed with flavor. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Atmosphere is great with the welcoming fire pit in cooler days. Definitely one of my favorite places around.

Beer and food are good, but they need to update their online menu.

Finally tried Firehawk last night and we were so sad that we had not made it there earlier! Our waiter (poss named Tai?) was on top of his game, not a pest, but very attentive. We had not idea they had a bar, but I can personally tell you the Renegade is a delicious drink! Between the two of us we had ribs, chopped chicken, slaw, mac and cheese, and the chili. Mac and cheese was my favorite side and both meats were delicious. We will definitely be back for more!

Well, I hate to say this, but after FINALLY getting to try this place (we always seem to try to go when they're closed), we were severely disappointed. I went in and placed a to-go order about 530 tonight for my family, we live just a few minutes away. Service was okayish. I greeted the lady at the front since I didn't receive one. She wasn't rude, but could work on her service skills a bit, as her lackluster attitude made a negative impression. There was a gentleman server that had walked by that was really kind (wish I would've gotten his name). The food was edible....not good. Portions of meat we received were very VERY small, okay fine. We were hungry, so at this point if it's delicious, we wouldn't care. Unfortunately all the BBQ meats we had were dry/over cooked: pulled pork, chicken and the ribs. The flavor was fine. The ribs had the best flavor of the three, smokey good. Was just a bummer that it all was so dry. Really just ruined it. The wings were not overcooked, though. Yay right?! The doneness was on point- tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, BUT the oil they were cooked in was either old or cooked in the same fryer as the fish...it was 'off' and they tasted gross because of it. So we wouldn't do those again for this reason. After asking if the "chips" were made fresh in house, I was told yes and ordered those. However, they are actually skinny fries. Okay, not mad at it, but we were expecting actual potato chips and not English "chips." So just note that if you order any. They were okay. Not sure if the seasoning has sugar in it, but tasted sweet (which we don't like. But that's a personal preference). Which brings me to the cole slaw-creamy and tasty, but also too sweet for us. Sauces: BBQ was tasty, but a tad too sweet for us so we didn't eat it, vinegar one was just gross (and I LOVE vinegar), the passion(?) one was like pure sugar, so that was a no, the mustard one was good. The boiled peanuts were pretty tasty! But also a little disappointed in the portion size for the cost. Will have to keep making my own for that. I bought a 4 pack of the Down Below Smoked Red Lager beer for the hubs and he said that it's good. Overall we would not eat here again. Portion size for cost, dryness of meats and unsavory oil made it an x in our book which is a bummer because it's so close to us. Will just have to keep driving to Gastonia for BBQ:/ I'm sure my hubs will want to go try their other beers, though!

UPDATE: I WAS CONTACTED BY FIREHAWK YESTERDAY AND WAS IMPRESSED WITH THEIR OFFER TO COMP ANOTHER MEAL. WE WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE OFFER SOON AND I LOOK FORWARD TO CHANGING THIS TO A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REVIEW.My husband and I order out once each week, always on Friday, a no cook night after a long week. I ordered online on the restaurants website. My husband ordered Ribs with 6 bones, slaw, pickled vegetable and cornbread. Ribs had a smoky flavor, which he liked, but were very dry and chewy. The slaw and pickled vegetable were missing and the top layer/crust of the cornbread was like rubber on both orders. My order was missing the greenbean casserole. The french fries were hard and cold. I received a text notification that my order was ready 9 minutes after I ordered (I prepaid and tipped), even though online it said 20-25 minutes. My guess is we got items that had been laying around for awhile. We are so disappointed. We won't order from here again.

I'm very mixed on how to review my first visit! The outdoor area out front had some seating and a firepit, and there is also a small outdoor space out back. Inside seating was some picnic tables and a few tables for two or four. Service was friendly but slow. My meal came before my beer! It was a Sunday so they had a limited "brunch" menu only, which had no gluten free options. We ordered the ribs that came with two sides and jalapeno cornbread. The ribs were decent, not fall off the bone but still good. The coleslaw was different, but tasty. I asked for fries and got homefries which were very basic. My partner tried the collards which had great flavor but swimming in broth. They had several beers on tap, but sold out of at least 5. Overall no major complaints but at the same time nothing to write home about.

I used Firehawk Brewpub Catering for a meeting bringing in 75 professionals from across the country because I wanted them to have the “”Carolina” food experience. Best decision ever. Everyone raved abt the food and Firehawk provided all the Carolina sauces. Tomato based, vinegar based, and mustard based. That’s Eastern, Western, and SC. The pulled pork tasted like it was off the bone, the pulled chicken had some kind of magic seasoning, and the fried fish was melt in your mouth. Tbh the fish was incredible. (Highly recommend) I also had vegetarians in my group so they offered some kind of mushroom bbq which I didn’t try but the vegetarians loved it and there were people who were meat eaters that wanted to try the mushroom bbq and told me it was great. The only thing I would change is that the sauces and dressings weren’t labeled that great so I was explaining everything to everyone who was asking. (Which honestly gave me time to network) But everyone literally loved the food and had the “Carolina” experience that I was going for. 100% recommend for catering.
